Homebrew for v2.6 a reality
Today, I am a happy blogger. Too
long have I suffered without the homebrew, the independent titles, the ISO loaders that would make my PSP life so much
more interesting. No longer will I filch homebrew gaming time from my neighbor, and beg him for just one more minute
playing with Kenta Cho. For now I must be happy with Tetris, but one day I will have it all. As Jebus is my
witness, I'll never go homebrew-less again![Thanks, Clay]

is everyone stupid?
this GTA hack won't be nearly as good as the 2.0 exploit that there is already, fanjita said it so themselves, i emailed them.. so i say stick with 1.5 or 2.0 for those gta freaks.
i too have joined the darkside and upgraded to 2.0.. i miss 1.5 greatly, though.
here, i'll bring up the email
"I don't think it will ever get to be quite as good as v1.5, but I don't think that many people will notice the difference.
So far, the v2.0 TIFF exploit is better than the GTA exploit, and that will probably remain.
If you're not sure you want to play GTA, but do want to update, then your best bet is to just upgrade to v2.0, and use TIFF. You can then still downgrade back to v1.5 if you don't like it.
If you do want to play GTA, then again, for now stick to v2.0."
also
"Remember that probably for a long time, you won't be able to play ISOs on anything higher than v1.5."
there you have it you crazy people who have been going crazy about ISOS on 2.0 and higher, it won't happen!

Stupid question, but if you can't play ISOs beyond 1.5, is there a point in playing ISOs? How many of the "good" games can get by with only 1.5 and faking the version up to >= 2.0?

Is there any way to downgrade 2.01 to 2.0?
daniel-kun @ Jan 12th 2006 2:07PM
No, JC. Not yet.
And I think the GTA exploit isn't even worth mentioning...

Ok, so being a PSP noob, I am trying to understand all of this firmware hack stuff. With the exploit now working for 2.6, is Tetris the only thing we can play on 2.6? What about SNES, NES, Genesis etc. emulators??? Is that on it's way? Thanks for the info!

Firmsware version 2.01 and up CANNOT play any homebrew except the Tetris game by Fanjita, and this hack alone requires Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories to work.
Sony sure did a good job with 2.01+.

jajajja, you all make me laugh, all of you who still have v.1.5 or 2.0 are just hating because we who have v2.1+ are also getting homebrew, jajajajja, sooner or later we'll also get it, if you go to fanjita's page you'll see that he got snes running on versions 2.0 and 2.5, jajaja
