Homebrew Halo for PSP
Remember that coding competition back in January? Well an innovative gamer from DCEmu has decided to try his hand at modding one of the entries named Iris to make a Halo installment. By adding models, textures and maps, he's done up a decent third-person shooter reminiscent to the Xbox game.
This further proves how much fun the PSP can be when put in the right, devious hands. Hopefully we might see this Halo mod support multiplayer action later on. Either way, kudos to PSPdemon who is developing it and good luck with the rest!

Halo is a sweet game as far as console FPS go (yes, I know it's also on PC but it's first and foremost an Xbox title), but I'd have to say Half Life is better. Then, to take it a step further..Halo 2 vs. Half Life 2 is no competition. Halo 2 is basically the same game with new levels. Half Life 2 is a whole new game with better visuals and an interactive environment. Half Life 2 blows Halo 2 away easy.

What a backhanded complament to Microsoft. Tired of seeing games from other company's systems on this thing.
BTW eCom, you have to consiter the gap between HL and HL2, there's more than 10 years between those games, and Halo and Halo2 are under 2 years appart. You also have to consiter what systems the two games are for. HL2 was able to dive into higher res graphics and processor heavy physics since it's platform is the PC and PCs are always getting more powerful (it did get a crappy port to the XBox). Just imagine the PCs back in the day as a PS, and the PCs now a 360, that's about the leap in power they had between games. Halo and Halo 2 were on the same system, so you have to consiter the actual leap they took when dealing with the same system specs as before. They could have just made the same game with the new race, new weapons and new maps, but they even went as far as pushing the Xbox's capibilities even further with a new graphics engine. Not too shabby of a leap when you're dealing with the same power you did with the first game. With that in mind, I'm sure Halo 3 will be a much bigger leap.

Ha, your right, however people should keep porting games from other systems to the PSP, because I sure as hell dont have any good first party games to play.
Dont try to refute that either, I tried em, got bored of em, especially SOCOM....overrated.

Yeah, these fan mods using copyrighted character can easily get shut down. I remember Nintendo was not too happy about the OoT mod for Halo on the PC.

I must say that anything Halo belongs far far away from anything having the misfortune of bearing the Playstation brand. I applaud the effort that will be put into this though.
To make it the most acceptable, it should be setup so the guns are PSPs that fire UMDs (just like it real life!). Master Chief could even throw PS2s for grenades. Then I would have no qualms.

correction people wake up the 360 dose not at all have the right to be called "next-gen" but more of a x-box 1.5 cuz' that system sucks few games made the x-box and w/o those games we would not have 360 just look at the speck the 360 was rushed way to fast there graphics are only slightly beter and the only reason why they look better on some screens are because those are "hd" screens witch are what the 360 was built on and that is pathetic so in final words this time x-box is goig to be hurting cuz' the rev. and the ps3 are going to own that p.o.s......oh and tha pc's graphics are far better than the 360's just look at call of duty 2,f.e.a.r,and many more
