New Ridge Racer 7 information and screens

The news about Ridge Racer 7 has been making its rounds and now we're getting a clear picture concerning what it's all about. Not that anyone out there was totally blown away by it, but the news still brought with it some interesting tidbits of information.
According to this IGN article, the director (Masaya Kobayashi) is promising "a title that would make PS3 owners glad that they purchased the system." Veterans of the series will be glad to hear that. Namco is also trying to make sure up to 14 players can rip it up together online, including a co-op mode of sorts that we still lack some info on. And don't forget the customization! Imagine being able to set up your own ride with 200,000 possibilities of coolness, and then share it online.
We're not sure if it'll be available come November, but you can bet we're going to learn a lot more next month at E3. Apparently there's going to be a trailer at the conference, at the very least, so you guys can chew on these screens until we get some more information!

360 is getting ridge racer 2 along with final fantasy 11 & resident evil 2....... hahahahahhahhahha
360 has nothing in the foreseable future... No wonder I am contemplating selling mine on ebay. I have fight night, COD & Burnout, yet after the 1st 2hrs on each of these games, I found myself playing my PS2 again....... My 360 is a dissapointment, & any 360 owner would have to agree as the most played games online at the moment are the ones like marbles & stuff that are developed by backyard , small, un-established developers. .............. If 360 had of launched with 1 original, aaa game, I would not be complaining about it........ But as it is, I feel worse than any console before it, that every game has that eery, been there done that a million times, feeling about them. You MS fanbitches knock PS2's launch lineup... Yet here in australia, PS2 at least had SSX (the best extreme sport/racer game this gen) & smugglers run....Not to mention dark cloud & timesplitters a week later....... My 360 has no games now or in it's foreseable future, that I couldn't get on either PS2, Xbox1, Pc or gamecube.... Fact is PS3 already has some awesome looking original properties that will be ready for launch.... games like resistance, fatal inertia & motorstorm for a start. Then theres the ones that have been reborn from a generation gap like Warhawk & also returning favourites like Ratchet & Clank, etc,etc. Then we have games from Naughty Dog, who always make new games for new hardware & are always exclusive to Sony consoles... 1st parties that are responsible for some of the best games available today, like shadow of the collosuss, ico, god of war, syphon filter, medievil, the getaway, primal, ghosthunter, & the wrc series. Then theres the game that will single handedly attract the same users online that all of MS's live games will attract combined. The tekken series, the virtual fighter series, hell even the last soul calibre was PS2 exclusive.......... And with Sega's latest arcade board sharing some of the same chips as is in PS3, it's a no brainer for anyone half smart to assume that Afterburner & others will be PS3 released if not exclusive..... Virtual fighter was this gen......
You see, price, blu ray, hdtv compatibility aside, mainstream consumers will buy a console that gives them the most reasons to play it.... All you nintendo fanbitches need to realise that..... GC was always cheaper than PS2, yet PS2 always outsold it.... Hell even the xbox was more than GC & it outsold it as well, elbeit by only a small margin.
Guess what all fanbitches in denial........ The PS3 will sell well, as the 1st people to buy it will be the hardcore gamers who don't worry about pricing & focus on gaming, then after a yr when more games are out, all the hardcorers have bought, & sony have had time to lower production costs, then the price will drop & more people will jump aboard the sony train, the same thing will keep happening over the ensuing yrs until PS3's price & installed base is the same as PS2's is now....
This is how it works.... Simple as that.... & until sony screws up in a similar fashion to how nintendo did with 64 by scaring off 3rd party developers........ Then sony pwns the next gen in every way concievable.....

^ geeze, buddy. this is PS3 fanboy... there is no need to preach to us about the atrocities of the 360 and the heroics of the ps3. do that on joystiq, or better yet- go to gamefaqs.
BTW- ridge racer stinks. Oh, and i love the way the game director vouches for his own game (as if he may say 'this game is garbage').

The new Ridge Racer 7 looks to take the racing world to the next level.
I've always respected Namco's approach to racing and I'm sure that this will be a big hit as always.
