It's a quiet next-generation of gaming

Amidst the cutting-edge processing power, high-dollar components (*ahem, Blu-ray*) and Bluetooth technology, you'd think the sound of cooling would get overlooked. Not so with the PS3.

As game consoles have gotten more and more advanced, we've seen an audible increase in cooling over the years. But according to this article, Sony is claiming to have muffled the sound to a level which beats out the slim PlayStation 2. It's pretty obvious how far they're willing to go to keep the small things from detracting from the machine. With Sony paying this much attention to detail, you can bet we'll be getting our money's worth out of it (which is a lot).
