New Final Fantasy XIII magazine scans

The drool-inducing aesthetics that define the Final Fantasy series never cease to amaze. FFXIII is no exception. Check out these gorgeous scans from a Japanese magazine to get a feel for the upcoming epic. It's being taken care of by the same team behind FFX, and with an all new "white engine" backing it, this title is a serious hook for RPG fans looking forward to the PlayStation 3.

Will this be the first must-have for the PS3? FFX was the first must-have for the PS2 for me.
That demo was awesome. I hate to look too far ahead, because we haven't even got FFXII yet!
So many Final Fantasies, so little time.

This game does look awesome pretty cool. Over at IGN (http://ps3.ign.com/articles/708/708994p1.html) there is an article with some new information in it. If your interested in this game I suggest checking it out.
Supposedly those shots in the trailer are a mix of in-game and cutscene. You can hardly tell the diference!
Always,
Kendal

I personally cannot wait to see a little more of an in-depth look into the battle system. Final Fantasy games are usually very good, but the wildly fluctuating battle systems of the last handful of installments has left me a bit skeptical.

While the Final Fantasy series has never failed to captivate the minds are hearts of its players through its implementation of beautifully rendered worlds, engaging musical scores, incredible story lines, and equally good game play, I'm wondering if this addition will truly transcend the older classics. Will it have the same impact on fans as when the world ended in FFVI, or with Aeris died in FFVII, when Rinoa became a sorceress in FFVIII, when Garland revealed Zidane's true identity in FFXI, etc?
I also wonder whether the scans we are seeing in FF XIII are CG or actual in game footage. And whether fans of the series will continue the fantasy with the high price of the Playstation 3.
