Heavy Rain interview pours on the details
In this whopping 4 page interview with IGN, France-based development team Quantic Dream, who brought us Indigo Prophecy (or Fahrenheit for you foreigners) discusses their title Heavy Rain. Founder and CEO David Cage, COO and Executive Producer Guillaume de Fondaumière, and Lead Character Designer Thierry Prodhomme were all on hand to reveal more information on the title than there was available at E3 a month ago. The interview reveals that Heavy Rain will not be a direct sequel to Indigo Prophecy and is a "dark film noir thriller with mature themes." The team is also tossing out the Sci-Fi elements of Indigo Prophecy and aim to ground Heavy Rain totally in reality. Heavy Rain is currently slated for a Fall 2008 release.

Can't wait for Heavy Rain to come to Xbox 360, i'm not getting a $600 peice of crap Blu Rayer ''PC'', whats the point when theres a better system at $200 lower? Gg.

Fall 2008 is yonks away, I just hope it's a good as it can be on the PS3 and isn't stunted by making it 360 friendly.

"1. Can't wait for Heavy Rain to come to Xbox 360, i'm not getting a $600 peice of crap Blu Rayer ''PC'', whats the point when theres a better system at $200 lower? Gg."
What's the point of getting an incomplete system? Ah, copycats. Feebleminded as they come.

#1 I'd rather play it via 360 as well (controller), but that comment was rather unnecessary for this post. Save it for a Hirai or Kutaragi blunder, not when we actually get to talk about a game. Games are the good stuff, no matter the console!
"What's the point of getting an incomplete system?"
A system that plays games....how is that incomplete? If anything, the PS3 is excessive (f@$% Bluray)? I just want them to keep movies away from my gaming consoles. We like games, show us games!
The game looks good to me. It will be interesting to see how this one develops.

the name boots seems to be quite popular these days lol.
yea cant wait for this game. Indigo Prophecy was a great game. and does it really matter what console you buy it for? Personally I like the 360's controller better so any cross platform game will be purchased for box while the ps3 will make for a good movie player/sony exclusive game machine.

Suicide Ninja:
As I said tons of times before, I consider Blu-ray is good for gaming. I've explained before why is it good for gaming, and any response I've gotten from it has lacked proof, or has been subjective.
That, along with Carmack's opinion that the PS3 has higher performance, is why I find it hilarious that my impersonator considers the $299 Xbox 360, the one that almost nobody wants, "superior" to the $499 PS3, the one that many people will opt to buy if they want a PS3 exclusively for gaming.

I Love Quantic Dream, and both of the games they came out with. Many of you need to do yourself a favor and find a copy of Omikron to play. It was an open-ended adventure game back before they were cool.
As for Carmack's statement It's ironic considering they prefer to work on the 360. His statement was it has Higher Theoretical performance. It can crunch more number then the 360. But then it's really not by much. The differences between the PS3 and 360 are probabbly like the Saturn Vs. The PS1. Nill if the developers know how to use them.

Actually, I think the idiot impersonator is comparing both Premium systems: he mentions $600 PS3 then says $200 cheaper...that's $400 which is the for the premium.
I still don't think Bluray or HD-DVD are good; that HDCP restriction garbage pisses me off. It also scares me a bit that there will be PS3s that don't support HDCP (no HDMI or DVI). That could really screw people down the road. It's already screwing people with upscaling DVD players and component-only connections on their HDTVs. Guess what? No upscaling for them.

"...and any response I've gotten from it has lacked proof, or has been subjective"
I've provided you with solid, objective proof before. maybe you didnt read it or maybe you did and didnt feel like responding. so i'll sum it up in a nut shell.
blu ray is GOOD for ps3 gaming, but not needed for the 360. why? because the 360 can tessellate geomerty on the fly. this means that data can be efficently stored as high order curves and tessellated into vertices on the fly. Because the ps3 cannot do this, as far as we know anyway, it needs the extra space to store the uncompressed vertices. The architecture of the ps3 and 360 very different from one another.
you can read a little about it here in the Introducing the Xbox 360's Xenon CPU section. It has some good stuff about both consoles here:

And the first paragraph of this page touches on it a little. They also have a good ps3 article if you want to read some tech mumbo jumbo

#6,
You must have meant that the PS3 will be the console of choice because it is "one that many people will opt to buy if they want a PS3 exclusively for exclusive PlayStationgaming," since it has nothing else going for it since Blu-Ray is an unproven format it can't replace the PC.
