Assassin's Creed news, European launch date
Here's a quick update on Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed coming out of Official PlayStation Magazine. If you haven't been following this promising title too closely, it's going to be an open-ended game with some wide environments that gamers will be able to roam around in. You play as Altair the assassin who gets things done with his wrist blade and a slew of other weapons.
According to OPM, multiplayer co-op in this free-roaming world will be available to gamers, as well as downloadable content. Due to its open-ended nature, side quests will also play a major role, so perhaps we'll see some downloadable missions? We'd bet on it. And Europeans will be happy to hear that word has it Assassin's Creed will be landing over there in early 2007 (possibly on Xbox 360 too).

Has anyone else heard about this title also being released on the XBox 360? From everything I read this was suppose to be a PS3 exculsive?

here, but only time will tell if we actually get something official.

Of course it will be on the 360...it's developed by Ubisoft. Just like EA Ubisoft is a multiplatform developer. Remember when Splinter Cell was exclusive for the Xbox and then 3 months later it was on the PS2?
Just like Grand Theft Auto was announced at the 360 booth at this years E3 but will be on the PS3...this game was announced at the PS3 booth but will be on the 360.

Seriously? It could be on the 360? Man..it's one of the 2 games motivating me to buy the PS3; with this game not being exclusive, I don't know of FFXIII will be enough for me to shell out the cash.

Yes, that's right Sputnik! Ubisoft *doesn't* make exclusives (just like SEGA and Rockstar/Take2 have never done), so I'm sure we'll see Red Steel some day on Xbox 360 and PS3!

It will be available on the Xbox 360 too. This game was in fact first announced as an Xbox 360 title ("Project Assasin") at X05 in Amsterdam. Rumors are that the AC demo at E3 was in fact running on a hidden 360. It's not a PS3 exclusive, but a timed exclusive which means that 360 owners will get it 3-6 months later.

Yes and this rumour was debunked as total nonsense. Most likely it was running on a Ps3 dev kit or a PC. Its exclusive for the Ps3 like GTA was exclusive for the Ps2. The 360 will get it but not for a long time.

lol..I have to occupy myself with something until I get the ps3 (no way I can afford it at launch). I'm definitely a ps fan tho.
