Denmark says: quit yer whinin', USA!

Whoa! According to an article at DigitalBattle, Denmark really must be annoyed at the American complaints about the PS3. Reservations for the system are costing the American equivalent of $854 and $683, depending on which SKU you choose. The lower costing SKU is the same price as the initial price of the PS2 in Denmark. Something's rotten in the state of Denmark, indeed.Games are also not spared. 360 games go for $80 and PS3 titles are rumored to extend past $100. Ouch, guys. Ouch. No more hating the USA release price. We have no place to complain, do we?

Yeah, well, how about STOP WHINING DENMARK! It's almost the same throughout Europe, especially here in the UK where we usually get a raw deal. At least we don't have to wait months for the consoles to be released now!

Its the same all over europe. Here i norway, 360 launchtitles like Quake4 went for 699NOK ~~ 111USD ;)

Yeah that's allmost the same all over Europe (allmost!!). I live in Denmark and I really think the games are expensive, but I have no problems bying them, because I now that is just what it costs here. But it is definately sad to hear about the low (for us) prices in other countries. That was just a Danes opinion.

I live in DK too... The prices for games and consoles has always been very high here... Even though it suxorz I live with it, and if there is gonna come good enough games for the PS3 I am probably gonna buy it...
It's not like i actually can live without the next MGS and Silent Hill ;-)

You have two conflicting comments. Pointing out that the lower sku is the price of the original ps2 would indicate that this is in fact a low price, relatively. Then you say there is something rotten in the state of Denmark, even following it with the word indeed. You should have AT LEAST taken out that second sentence, which absconds the implications of the first. This is one of the 'better' of the ps3 sites. Let's remember that when writing for the public, we must EDIT. This is not a journal or a diary. Even blogs must be proofread.

I would live there and pay a higher price, any day. You guys have a better standard of living. Sure, we can get consoles and games for "cheaper"... but we have no medical coverage, and our cost of living is astronomical (here in California, anyway).

Psh. Just because Denmark has it even worse than us doesn't mean we don't have a right to complain. We still have it bad. We just have a lesser of two evils.
