Metal Gear to support GPS
There aren't too many high-profile games that use Sony's upcoming GPS peripheral. Off the top of my head, I can only think of two: Hot Shots Golf and Homestar. Well, Konami has added one incredibly huge title to the list of GPS-compatible games: Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops. It shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, considernig how the last Metal Gear game on our system came with another crazy peripheral: the Solid Eye. Konami hasn't revealed how the game will support the device, but what kind of crazy ideas can you think of?[Via IGN]

In order to complete that special asignment in Russia... you have to actually go to Russia!... Discounted flight prices on Konami Air.
Maybe in the game, you'll come across a bomb, and depending on how fast you can run a certain distance with the PSP, will determine if you manage to escape the blast.

Whatever idea I can think of, they all suck. ;-)
Honestly, will there any fun, serious way of using a GPS device in games?

a cool use would be some kind of multiplayer feature, where it keeps track of the ad-hoc players locations in real life and relates that into the game or something.
