World of Warcraft may steal your soul on the consoles...
The rumor was brought up a while back, but another interview with Blizzard indicates that the insanely popular and social life destroying World of Warcraft will be coming onto next-gen consoles. Paul Sams, COO of Blizzard said this about the idea: "We've met with Microsoft, we've met with Sony, and we are exploring these things, but the list of challenges is long. One really big challenge is that one of the key features of a massively multiplayer game, especially WOW, is consistent and regular content updates. They require hard drive space, and there's a finite amount of that on each of those platforms." Well, there's finite space on computers as well (granted, plenty more of it).It seems the consoles all have the means to house the WoW universe, with regular updates a reality and fairly spacious hard drive. So, will we see it? "It isn't as simple as flipping a switch... It would require a couple of years of development, realistically, to make it playable on those platforms." Well... crack addicts are usually stuck for life. Perhaps WoW players won't be different and the wait will be more of a blurry night of dungeon raiding.

I really doubt it will ever come to consoles unless it requires a special keyboard interface to use. Either controller will be wayyyy to limited for any game play of WoW on either system, barring specs at all. The number of inputs required by the standard wow player greatly outnumbers eithter the PS3 or the 360 interface. And what of 3rd party interfaces for WoW often modded UI.

They blame disk space..
Come On.. Final Fantasy can do it why cant they.. Yes the 360 has lil room and I wont be buyin a bigger HDD for mine unless they change and let us use our own.. But what an excuse for the Premium PS3 which will contain 60 gig..
I think Blizzard just isnt up for a good challenge..
