Wanna look inside? PS3 raises its skirt...

Seems someone over at the NeoGaf forums had the epiphany to take some close-up pics of the PS3 and all the little slots to insert your devices into (no, that wasn't an ambiguous statement...). All this really does is confirm what everyone thought would be on the bugger -- HDMI, Compact Flash, SD and Mini SD, and the... memory stick? In the third picture, the way the gloved man (Why is Mario holding Sony's console?) is holding the system, it doesn't look large. Until you locate his left hand, which is pretty far away. The PS3 is just as large as we hoped!

What you need to take into consideration is all that dust! This PS3 may just be a case with no guts, but at the Leipzig Games Convention, it got pretty dirty. We may need to invest in many cans of compressed air. Oh, and don't worry. The Flash Card slot is where the memory card adapter will go for all you save savers. Otherwise, the shell looks good. Just kind of dusty. Anything missing you guys would have wanted to see? A pencil sharpener, mayhap?

Why is that PS3 so scratched up? I mean, I understand to some agree if they are taking it everywhere and showing it off. But some of the letters from "digital out" have been scraped off. The overall condition of it is poor at best. Is this really what happens when you show off a console? It gets ruined? Wow.. Sony fanboys... Go figure.

Wait a minute.
Is the power supply, hdmi SPDIF and Ethernet port on the Side of the thing?

Does that mean it would be on the top if you turned it on it's side.

Someone please tell me I'm looking at this wrong...

and for the heck of it, everyone keeps saying it's huge but compare it to the 360 and it's only about 2cm larger in each direction.

Exactly!

Its just the ps3's arched up, so its ... well. FAT looking.
While the 360s arched in so that it looks more slimmish.

1.5 cm taller including the arches I can deal with fine.

The PS3 is getting uglier and uglier to me every day. First the change in remote, then the price, lack of exclusive titles worth mentioning, and now they just had to give it a glossy finish over cheap plastic. This thing it going to be like an iPod Nano, except much larger.
