Assassin's Creed stealth kills exclusivity deal

No, it's not quite official that Assassin's Creed is coming to the Xbox 360. The game is still being released initially on the PS3 and will probably remain only on that system until 2007. After that? Ubisoft let slip that "Assassin's Creed PC will indeed see the light some day. Details will be provided at a later date." So that's it! Will it come to the 360? Perhaps someday, but Ubisoft has only let other people start rumors -- they neither confirm nor deny them.However, this is starting to become a growing concern: what does exclusivity really entail anymore? Resident Evil 4 was suppposed to only be on GameCube, but that hardly lasted a year. Is the term "exclusively on [insert console here]" really just a way to say "we created the game primarily for [insert console here] but we've got other ports already in development to minimize risk and maximize profit"? It's not a bad idea, really, but if every game came to every system, what's the point? Of course, there always will be exclusives that remain so... still, it's getting harder to manage what's coming to what system, when. Decisions, decisions.

It's about choice to me. Some people refuse to buy Sony products, just as others refuse to buy Microsoft or Nintendo products. Or it's a matter of preference. For me, I don't refuse to buy any of them, but I have an order-of-preference.
Honestly, for multiplatform games, the PS3 would probably be my next-to-last choice just above the PC. If Final Fantasy XIII was coming out for the 360 as well...I probably wouldn't buy a PS3. Sure, I like other Sony-exclusive franchises, but they aren't system-sellers to me.
It'd be somewhat hard to work into a Playstation community when I have more into XBL than Sony's "network". Naturally, this is a premature statement since I don't know how useful/fun the PS3 will actually be (don't care for Bluray). It seems to be a definite improvement over the PS2 experience so far, which is good.

The best thing about the PS3 is that the former "least common denominator"...the PS2...is now finally being eclipsed by a capable machine. This helps make all games better as now we will see almost all Titles having an online component...and of course HD visuals...etc...etc.
But there truly was nothing worse than playing port after port of crappy held back PS2 games on my Xbox or PC. Shitty gaming just got a little less shittier.

Recent copy of the official Xbox 360 mag here in the uk came emblazoned with Assasins Creed on the front.
Obz they bigged up how it will be better on the 360 yada yada but the point was they wouldnt run it front page without confirmation it was gonna happen.
