Armored Core 4 not a launch title -- only two confirmed

Sony! Listen up. Stop, please. It's growing nearly impossible to throw a positive spin on things. What can we say about all that's gone on lately? "Uh, well, when the PS3 comes out in March in Europe, they'll have more launch titles"? We love you Sony. We trust you. But you've got to be honest with us! Yeah, this doesn't really have much to do with Armored Core 4, but it was just another title that made the pain a little more bearable. Now we have to wait for that, too. Sorry for the tangent -- sometimes it's tough to make bad news good. Even so, look for some mech-smashing come December.

How do they expect to sell the consoles when there are no good games at launch?????? WTF Sony come on!
insane_cobra @ Sep 7th 2006 10:35AM
Why, they expect you to buy it for Blu-ray movies, of course!

hey sonyguy,
the 360 sold well at launch and we have just started getting some good games for it in the past couple months... don't worry, the ps3 will sell and the wait won't be as long for good games as it has been with the 360.

Atleast the 360 HAD games of any kind. PGR, Condemned and Kameo are still great games. This is pathetic, especially in a territory where they face Nintendo. If there's a Zelda or Mario come launch of the Wii, Sony's gonna be cryin' in thier beer.
(PS: Sony's still gonna win this war. The PS2 launched with utter crap, was a good deal more expensive than the competition and didn't even begin to live up to the hype. But it crushed the DC. Sony has the mindshare and the marketing wizardry to pull it off. They also still have the best "exclusive" games out there.)

I used to think Sony had the best Exclusives but I am getting burnt out on FF and as much as I hate to admit it look at some of the 360 games comin soon, Gears of Ware, Elveon, Alan Wake, Fable 2, Forza 2. I agree that PS2 did nt have a rock solid lineup at launch but they had one of the best selling series ever MADDEN, that was the game almost everyone in line with me had when I was waiting at Best Buy for the PS2 Launch. 360 also had madden (although it sucked azz) PGR, Kameo, dont liek Kameo that much myself but I enjoy the PGR series. My problem with Sony is that they (mostly Ken) blatenly flap their gums and expect all their supporters to just fall in line and do whatever they want. Some of you seem like you would hand Ken a gun if he said he wanted to kill your mother, I mean cmon its a corporation who's goal is to make money, they could give a rats ass about us as long as we fork over the cash for their system

no,... to tell you the truth, AC4 was my most anticipated title. looks like i'll be waiting until next year to get my ps3. maybe around tax return time,...
that aside this looks a lot like 360 but with out the euro launch. shortages for 3 months, lackluster launch lineup, (only gears of war has an eyebrow from me. all the games i want to play will be on playstation.) it just hurts losing more ground on ANOTHER holiday season.

"PGR, Condemned and Kameo are still great games"
Uh, no. 360 had no must have game at launch and it still sold out. Why? Fanboys, enthusiasts, hardcore gamers, developers, and journalists wanted one. Hell, it was not widely available in stores until Oblivion came out, the only "must have" game for 360 (and even that is relative). Microsoft should have sold the first batch at 700 bucks, if not more, in order to leverage demand and make a buck anyway. Sony is about to commit the same mistake. Then again, they probably wouldn't be able to pull that off, and only eBay would.
I believe that by the time PS3 is widely available in Europe, either MGS4, FFXIII or both will be out (think about it, both are supposedly 2007 games and Europe is getting PS3s not before march). Same story. Probably something similar will happen in Japan, having a measly launch and I doubt it will have the biggest shipping numbers (more likely the states, and eventually Europe, if Sony knows what they're doing).
