PS3 and Wii engage in lively debate

The PS3 seems to be the console that everyone loves to hate on right now. Even the standard-barer for broadcast journalism, G4TV, has joined the fray with a bit of low-brow (and low-blow) humor. While I think people's attitudes about the PS3 are going to start changing right after it launches, I couldn't help but laugh at this parody of an Apple commercial, pitting the PS3 against the Wii. Funny stuff, but we think that Sony may have the last laugh yet.

Yep, this debuted about 4 weeks ago. Not sure how that fact has any impact on it being funny. Especially for people who have not seen it.

still we ps3 fanboys know the ps3 should have been the hot but expensive date in a sleek black dress while the wii would have been that girl next door who wont stop reminicing about the past and just started taking gymnastics classes to impress you with her "flexablity".

No need to get all defensive and start yelling "old" etc. :D Besides, this is news to me since it's the first time I saw it.
I'm definitely going to buy a Wii before PS3 - but that's pretty much only because Sony pushed back launch another five and a half freakin' months for us in Euro Disneyland. Nothing to do about that really other than smile and take it up the bum. Luckily I can at least get one shiny piece of gaming hardware this autumn...
It's both sad and annoying that we're getting peed on all over again, by the time the hardware's even available for sale all the PS3 launch games will be old hat. Meh!

Yeah, and she's perfectly fine telling you that she just broke up with her boyfriend and she's really sad...well for that reason plus her parents might be getting a divorce... but oh there's this really great new guy at school that she maybe kinda sorta likes and she wants YOUR advice... and you just can't find the words to express that you're actually madly in love with her... and she's comfortable being around you and telling you everything, but then she goes and says stuff like "I think we should just be friends". Friends? FRIENDS?! What am I, friggin' invisible?!

God this thing so is lame, more reason to hate G4, and yes it is old. This just proves that G4 is oversexed and biased. I'm not a PS3 fan but this video made me actually want one because of how idiotic and stupid use of sex the Wii/G4 makes.

wow that is pretty lame commercial. i mean if they werent talking so much crap it wouldnt of been so bad. plus u guys are right the ps3 would be like a hot executive type chick in a long slender black dress, and the wii would be like the hot backwoods next door neighbor type chick.
i still of course prefer the ps3, but still that commerical makes me want to do dirty, dirty things to that wii system ;)

The ps3 will beat the socks off the Wii. Wait when does Europe get it again? Oh that's right they screwed Europe. They should have plenty to buy launch day though huh? Oh wait the blue ray thing has cut into their production a bit hasn't it? Well the price will be worth it. I mean everyone has 600 dollars to spend these days right? It should outsell a 250 dollar Wii. Oh wait Wii has Zelda launch day and 30 old school games to buy online for the price of 5 to 10 bucks. Old school gamers will have reason to buy a ps3 over a Wii. I mean who wants to play golden axe again or evn Altered Beast? I feel sorry for you ps3 fans. You are getting screwed this time by Sony and you can't even see it. Don't worry we Nintendo fans know a failed product when we see one. You stick by that ps3. We did by our gamecube. That's ok if any of you want to have fun you come on over and play Wii with me Nov 19th. It's not like you will have a ps3 on launch day any way. Come play Nintendo while you wait for you ass stopin machine. At least you can have fun until you get raped by Sony.
