TGS 06: New system colors spotted [Update 1]

It looks like Sony may consider bringing out some flashier PSP designs. While these aren't "official" yet, Sony rarely shows system colors that never materialize. This camo PSP looks especially hot, and will be a must-have for a true SOCOM fan. Hopefully, it won't fall under Sony's "Signature" line of systems, or you'll most likely be unable to afford it. Other pictures from Dengenki showcase more traditional blue, yellow and red systems, which can be seen after the cut. Me? I like the yellow one the best.
Will Sony ever officially announce these system colors? And if they do, will they ever bring them to the States? (Hey, we still don't have the white PSP.)

Sony just keeps on friggin' teasing us here in the States. i liked the white psp but where is it?! now, i like the blue psp but i'll end up forgetting about it 'cause it'll never be released in the states!

The yellow is sweet. I like the camo but I think it might get old after awhile. Maybe one day Sony will understand that people in the states like to express their inviduality too.

Some more colours would be really nice. I wish they would release the white PSP state side still.
Though, I could care less about the colours if they reverted back to their pre-TA-82 boards. :D

I'm thinking that these were put together just for the show. The PSP isn't selling well enough to warrent making more colors. But, Sony has been doing some rather odd things lately so I could be wrong...

I don't see how the PSP 'isn't selling well enough to warrant new colors'... The sales aren't massive in Japan like the DS, but it's the #2 console -- In the USA it's doing fairly well and has outsold the DS 'phat' almost every months since both were available. NPD doesn't have full sales data (no online sales), but they indicate the PSP is neck and neck with the DS Lite even now (August: DS=278K, PSP=262K).
PSP sales more than warrant new colors - they NEED them to boost Christmas! With the much improved game library for the holiday buying season, I think the PSP can make a very strong showing for 2006. New colors can only help. HURRY UP, SONY!

The only problem is Sony lists units shipped not units actually sold. Say Sony sends 200 PSPs to a Best Buy and Nintendo send 200 DS Lites to that same store. Say Nintendo sells 75 DS Lites the first day and Sony sells 20 PSPs. Nintendo puts it down as 75 DS Lites sold and Sony puts it down as 200 PSPs shipped.
