Absolutely brutal banned PSP ad

This can not be real. PSP ads have been terrible for the most part, but this takes it one step further into the "what the f--- were they thinking?" category. The video is embeeded after the cut, but I'll have a FOX-like warning for you: Due to the violent nature of this advertisement, viewer discretion is advised.

Oh My God
What was That?
Tsk TSK TSKKK
Sony better have way better PS3 ads for North America.
Vince @ Oct 3rd 2006 10:46PM
Hmm... while I don't like the commercial, Kefka does.
And if Kefka likes something... well it would just be wrong to disagree.
Dominic Arenas @ Oct 3rd 2006 11:16PM
Definately fan made.
That's "Come to Daddy" by Aphex Twin in the backround.
ApacheGuns @ Oct 3rd 2006 11:59PM
Are you kidding me? This is a video obviously made by some amateur at youtube. You being sarcastic? or you seriously think this piece of trash is real? Mos def not at all newsworthy.
Robert @ Oct 4th 2006 12:20AM
I'm being sarcastic. DUH LOL
pixelator @ Oct 4th 2006 12:55AM
WHY is crap like this made into news items..??
pixelator @ Oct 4th 2006 1:00AM
Here, if you guys need some GOOD PSP news, from your own sister site:

ronturon @ Oct 4th 2006 1:20AM
from the way i see it, it's fake. sony does get crazy sometime but they can't be this crazy!
M3wThr33 @ Oct 4th 2006 3:52AM
Pixelator, don't cross spam stories just to meet your agenda.
Also, the video is extremely amateur. There's no point in debating it.
Duscrom @ Oct 4th 2006 3:56AM
Okay, i ain't sayin that's real, but if that's an ameture, He needs a job NOW. That, from a filmmaking perspective, is too good to be just some fan-made crap on Youtube.
I've seen lots of ameture video... that wasn't it. That was professionally done.
Cerny @ Oct 4th 2006 8:24AM
LOL. Twice LOL...
Ash @ Oct 4th 2006 9:41AM
senseless... thank god its banned. what were sony thinking?
pixelator @ Oct 4th 2006 11:30AM
"Pixelator, don't cross spam stories just to meet your agenda."
One link to show more pertinent PSP news out there isn't exactly spamming. My 'agenda' is to show there's more relevant news out there (like a big DS franchise coming to the PSP) than an ad vid we don't even know is real.
Give me Stars or Give me Death! @ Oct 4th 2006 12:47PM
pixelator, the PSP has been trying to be like the DS for the past year at least. It's not exactly news that Sony managed to coerce/intimidate/buy the soul of Dr. Kawashima in order to make a DS game clone. 10 to 1 you make the argument that this isn't a rip-off either. Any takers?
GranAvatar_ofMe @ Oct 4th 2006 1:12PM
So anything important happened today,ok.
Amazing how any loser making an anti PSP ad always make its way to the news,i bet theres people saying Ds is crap and it lack of good games makes it a horrible handheld and no one cares.
GranAvatar_ofMe @ Oct 4th 2006 1:22PM
To Number 14 or Death.
PSP trying to be like the DS?.What, sony decided to suddenly kill half of the psp line up and kill all the good games players actually wanted to play, placing instead hyper hyped games that no one would say are bad since all the official media is going to be bribed?.
Oh the humanity!!!.
Also my dear retard,Brain age games have existed in japan long before they appeared on the ds.
You phail!.
Also i think the PSP Brain age interface looks kind of dull.
pixelator @ Oct 4th 2006 1:37PM
"It's not exactly news that Sony managed to coerce/intimidate/buy the soul of Dr. Kawashima in order to make a DS game clone."
Hysterical Paranoia: Stage I of Fanboyus Extremus. Kawashima is no big video game fan to begin with - and Nintendo didn't 'own' him. Though your whining about it IS highly amusing, so please continue.
Thank GOD Nintendo hasn't brought any games to the DS that originated on OTHER systems! Otherwise, you know, you might be regarded as a bit of a hypocrite.
"The PSP has been trying to be like the DS for the past year at least."
Right! 'The PSP' got up one morning and said to itself, "Damn, I need to be more like the DS." And you know this because 'The PSP' told you. Because it can talk and think for itself.
Ding! Anthropomorphizing the inanimate subject of your obsession is Stage II. Give the boy a prize while he waits for his CAT scan and new white coat.
And here I thought his was going to be a boring day.
Give me Stars or Give me Death! @ Oct 4th 2006 2:06PM
pixelator should form his own brand of quack psychology. He already has vocabulary for made up conditions. That is so cute! With cutting edge terms like "Mario Effect" and "Fanboyus Extremus" he tries to sound like he has a point.
If you want paranoia look at 17.
With quotes like "What, sony decided to suddenly kill half of the psp line up and kill all the good games players actually wanted to play, placing instead hyper hyped games that no one would say are bad since all the official media is going to be bribed?" this guys sounds like a gibbering schizophrenic but you don't point that out because he's a Sony fanboy and it doesn't fit into your agenda.
"Thank GOD Nintendo hasn't brought any games to the DS that originated on OTHER systems! Otherwise, you know, you might be regarded as a bit of a hypocrite."
Yeah, there are SO many PSP ports on the DS, any other comparison to past consoles, say Sega to DS or PSP, is asinine and you know it. The funny thing is when they come out with SonyPups or Bario Brothers you'll STILL defend it. You, my friend, are a piece of work and any Sony exec's wet dream come true.
Slow down and you won't have typos.
"I thought his was going to be a boring day." "his" was going to be anything but boring.
pixelator @ Oct 4th 2006 4:34PM
It doesn't take a psychologist to see the insecurity behind seizing on odd typos to save face. Sadly, spell checkers don't make you any more right, or smarter.
And here I was, avidly waiting for BARIO BROS! Because, you know, the PSP is full of games copied from the DS, and the DS has nary a port, rehash or copied game in its library.
As for 17, who cares? At least he's not trolling the DS sites like you're doing here.
StMadnes @ Oct 4th 2006 6:35PM
(looong sigh) Sony, Sony, Sony.. it's a funny ad- in a barbaric sort of way- but c'mon. I mean for real. did they really think that ad was going to be acceptable for general audiences? Sony doesn't need any bad press right now.
Vince @ Oct 5th 2006 12:38AM
You know, Death is right, the PSP is trying to be more like the DS.
And here I am, trying to figure out how that's a bad thing.
Alien @ Oct 5th 2006 12:43PM
lol , that wasnt really bad , they schould show them to some protective parents .
UUgggghhhh... @ Nov 20th 2006 7:27PM
I think this is a more than perfect time for a OMGWTFBBQ...
