PSP phone resurfaces in design contest

Sony Ericsson recently held a contest for Chinese university students to design a new phone. One creative student decided to take the opportunity to render his idea about the rumored Ericsson PlayStation phone. This render features a UMD slot and a DS-inspired flip-top. This render is also shown to be slightly smaller, but thicker, than the PSP itself. What do you guys think about it? If it didn't cost a gazillion dollars, would you pick one up?

I don't see the point of integrating a phone and gaming system. Look how well it worked for N-Gage.

If the PSP was my cellphone, I had at least an excuse to carry it around everywhere I go! My friends are already making jokes about the relationship between me and my PSP :-)

and how are you so sure that it was DS-inspired. it's almost as if your're implying that the DS was the 1st hand-held piece of machinery to hold two screens/ have a flip top. ehem.. this is a psp fanboy site, remember?

Wtf are you talking about,as if you have any friends.No one bites that,comprende.

And i doubt you even carry a PSP(i doubt you even carry a wallet,i doubt you even have any money).

Nintendo moronic fanboys,gosh i know ds is teh suck and the gamecube is death but find something else to do.

Complain to Nintendo instead,why ds graphics suck?!,why ds games suck?! why we cant have a decent game from other developer than square enix or the Mario team?.

Is everything you say a question, or are you just fond of the aesthetic of the question mark and explanation point side by side? But maybe you don't know about grammar yet, I could have sworn they taught that in sixth grade. Then again, maybe I overestimated you. You could easily be a fourth grader.

On topic, I think it's a way cool design. I have a pocket PC 6700 and it does everything a DS or PSP does except play games. It does high-speed internet, MP3s, Windows Mobile, etc. I really think that it's only a matter of time before a DS or PSP phone is developed and I'm sure that Sony will be on that way before Nintendo.
