I have not bought a game for the psp in about a year. I've rented some though.
There isn't a game out that appeals to me or hasn't had a review with bugs or slow loading times.
I've bought four games for my DS though. It might not have the graphical power, but the games are accessible and fun!
Gee, isn't that a great combination.
So until Sony gets it right (releases PS1 and ports of PS2 games, has more developers on board that can create better games) it is in the trade bin.

Avatar and Gun showdown FTW!!!.
By the way JDH is totally and without a doubt GAY x10.
Ds is teh suck its games are crap and are hyper hyped. For something that sells as much it should have at least decent games other than mario,is teh suck.

In reguards to the comments from Granavatar_OfMe in #3, just...WOW... Wonder who is a little jerk kid that hasn't even learned how to spell yet? I love me PSP, but the games have been crap for a good while... As to the DS (I'm thinking of getting one)and the "games [that] are crap and are hyper hyped," maybe you should look that those games again.. If DS games are crap and Avatar: The Last Airbender was just released for the DS and PSP, then shouldn't they both be "crap and hyper hyped?" So why don't you go run home now and get back to work on the potty training eh? HA

"There isn't a game out that appeals to me"
That's exactly how I feel about the DS. And recently PSP games hardly have any loading times. I'm only aware of a few games with bugs, and they typically aren't big deals. What type of games do you like if none have appealed to you? You should also remember that "fun" is subjective. Some people find petting a virtual puppy fun, some don't.

Chris,
You might take another look at the game reviews, because as far as PSP and DS goes, the games are pretty evenly matched.
Granavatar_OfMe @ Oct 9th 2006 12:09PM

Regarding loading times, I recommend you to get Splinter Cell Essentials. If you want to byte in your PSP and flip out bad time, that is. It's loading times are rediculous and the gameplay is absolutely ultra trash. It is a good game for home consoles and PCs, but for portables it's absolutely unplayable.
Well, that's that. I've also bought Field Commander which is really fun. It's good for portables because it is round-based and therefore slow-paced. Even has relatively short loading times. It's one of the few games that I've played through completely (because of lack of time, not because the games ain't good).
I'm looking forward to SOCOM: FTB 2, because SOCOM: FTB is a very good game, too. Afaik it isn't released in Europe, yet.
Alien @ Oct 9th 2006 12:26PM
Gun is probably the most exciting review , and Splinter Cell sucked on the DS BTW . Alos , if you want to trash the PSP ,go on your 2updates/week ( from wich one is the japanese selling records ) site , and trash it there , and let us enjoy our weak of release . I dont have nothing with the DS , only his fanboys are idiots .
Granavatar_OfMe @ Oct 9th 2006 12:31PM
I totally agree with Alien. This month is huge for the PSP GTA Vcs,MoHH,KILLZONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Splinter Cell sucked? Well then get Syphon Filter. It's very fun, and has great online play. Plus Medal of Honor is coming out soon along with Killzone and MGS:Portable Ops.
You can compare Burnout for PSP versus Burnout for the DS and see the difference between the sytems. One is good for playstation 2 style games, and one is good for doing arithmetic and virtual cooking.

Y'know, I had heard loads of garbage about Splinter Cell. I even went through most reviews to find the game getting condemned as a bad rehash. Of course, then I played my friend's japanese copy of Rengoku II; I enjoyed the game, and decided why not give another so-called "bad game" a try, and ordered a copy of Splinter Cell: Essentials, for the PSP.
Spinter Cells for the PSP, is a great game! Say what you must about it; I found it to be a worthy purchase. Hell, people are always moaning about a stealth game; there's already one, sitting ont he selves, man: Spinter Cell. More importantly, I don't know how fucking spoiled gamers are getting these days, because the load times--specifically for Splinter Cell: Essentials--are hardly that much of a complaint on my part.
For fuck's sake, when one's getting killer gaming on the go, there's obviously going to be some degree of loading for all that visual charm! Just stop thinking within that disgustingly conservative paradigm of conventional hand-helds; a negative perception where you end up condemning perfectly good games, simply because they come at the price of a justified and not-so-bad load time.
Oh, and there's a certain troll within this thread, who despite being pro-PSP, is really starting to reek like the rotting corpse of a plague-ridden rat!
