ummm okay. I guess that was so stupid I forgot to laigh. LOL
What will they think of next. Luckily us PS fans actually compare the systems and not just steal ideas from songs.
oops i almost forgot to tell you...
developers are leaving the Nintendo area of development for the PS3, or at least the Factor 5 guys did.
George @ Oct 13th 2006 11:20PM
Nintendo fanboys are so immature to make a video like this proves it... i think they played to much mario and they still think they are 8. looks to me that nintendo fanboys are having a temper tantram, looks like nintendo needs a time out
Bucket @ Oct 16th 2006 11:30AM
Dear lord, that is one awful display. I guess it doesn't help that I grew out of listening to Queen when my balls dropped.
And yes, developers are indeed abandoning the Wii. It's a case of "interesting tech, but no one can think of a damn thing that would showcase it well". Nothing to do with the developers' skills, everything to do with too-different tech that won't stick. They can forget about cross-platform titles, too... although I guess Gamecube helped soften that blow.
But hey-- Nintendo buyers will have their Zelda, their Mario, and their dozens of overblown "party games" (read: minigame compliations that weren't rewarding enough to be bonus rounds for other games). So, good for them.
Sponge @ Oct 13th 2006 11:09PM
You like the PS3 and you talk of stealing ideas? And one developer doesn't mean that the Wii is losing support when that one developer had never supported the Wii.
dudeugotnochanceinhell @ Oct 13th 2006 11:33PM
how clever, what a bunch of shit
Capt. Castellanos @ Oct 15th 2006 5:13PM
being a nintendo fanboy and all
even i must say,
that was really lame.
totally stupid video.
but the ps3 fanboys are getting stupid defensive over this as well.
so either way we both lose.
Erick @ Oct 14th 2006 12:04AM
Well the Wii is for little kids, So i guess this explains the creation of the video.
Sponge @ Oct 14th 2006 12:09AM
No developer has yet abandoned the Wii. Ubisoft and others are throwing huge support behind it. The term abandon means to leave, so in order to abandon it, they would either
a) support it with games and then just stop (except for cross platforms) or
b) start making a game, then put it out on a different console laughing at the original console they were programming for
Just because you don't think you will like the tech doesn't mean developers are leaving in droves.
David Courtney @ Oct 14th 2006 12:17AM
You know what, the video has some truth in it... Wii will beat Playstation... Playstation 2 that is, I mean it was a Dual Shock controller wii was "rocking"/"beating". I admit the PS2 wont sell near as many as the Wii does, but thats because Sony has PS3 (with a SIXAXIS not dual shake mind you)... so yeah pretty much whoever made the vid was dumb and was attacking PS2 not the PS3
the Maker of that video @ Oct 14th 2006 12:39AM
Hello all fanboys i am the maker of that vid
i made that way back in May and you guys just found it now or did you find in my and push the video release date back a few months like real sony fanboys should do.
any way im geting a PS3 next year or when ever they drop the price down i love my ps2 so it will work fine for me until socom comes out for the ps3
come visit http://xiinet.com/ Xbox wii playstation gameing boards
Mark @ Oct 14th 2006 1:00AM
That video is very lame, but you can't stereotype all nintendo fanboys as being immature, because of one loser's attempt at being funny.
I have seen plenty of Sony Fanboy videos that were just as stupid. So are all Sony Fanboys immature because of that? I guess so :P but that is besides the point.
microdot @ Oct 14th 2006 1:08AM

seems the proof was at the cash register today.
ps3 - 1
wii - 0

The PS2 sold over 100 Million Consoles. The Gamecube only sold around 23 Million, I doubt that Wii will even come close to 50 Million over the course of it's extremely short life span. Most likely 1-3 years max in my opinion.
GreenYoshi @ Oct 14th 2006 9:15AM
Hi guys...owner of XiiNet here
Aex @ Oct 14th 2006 5:52AM
Dude, Microdot... you win the thread because of that link.
I think you may have earned yourself another reader rofl.
That was a pretty lame video, felt like a 14yr. old made it. You could have had long hair on the wii thingy, or added in... something, it was just repetitive and boring.
Ekemet @ Oct 14th 2006 6:44AM
That article is hilarious Microdot.
"I live in houston. a city with a few million people. maybe its different here... i don't know. but the ps3 sold out in seconds. confirmed by gamestop to be completely gone at around noon or so. the wii...... well.... not quite. as of closing tonight, they still had 2 available pre-orders. still no official "we're sold out" announcement. nothing.
is it a case of fanboyism outgrowing the actual "want" for the system? appears so. "
'Fastest sales ever!... Due to extreme lack of goods.' Not exactly difficult to sell out of a system when there are only a handful to go around.

Wow....disgracing wii fanboys themselves :(
GreenYoshi @ Oct 14th 2006 9:16AM
May I remind all of you that this video is at east 8 months old because I was the Network Admin of theodl.com when it was still around. I didnt like his work in any way shape or form, but attempted to show off anyway.
Since those days we moved from that site, and respect the ps3 a little more, enough for me to start flowing in a bit of playstation online news myself...
EdZ @ Oct 14th 2006 9:12AM
"You like the PS3 and you talk of stealing ideas?"
Sigh. Let me say this for the upteenth time:
The Wiimote is NOT the first motion-sensitive controller. They've been around for several consoles for a LONG time.
The patent documentation for the SixAxis controller were filed LONG before the WiiMote was revealed.
The position-sensing system for the WiiMote is NOT new. There is a lightgun for the PC and PS2 that uses the same idea to allow use on non-CRT displays (and 100hz CRTs).
Claiming that either company 'stole' from the other is sheer lunacy.
Caramella Bongo ... how are you today? @ Oct 14th 2006 10:34AM
There's a TON of support for Wii at launch because most of the third party games were initially late-cycle GameCube games... which were scrapped for GC and retooled for Wii.
Once third party support dries up again; Wii will become a Nintendo only console.
And yea, Wii-hype hit its peak at E3..also the same time as PS3s lowest point. All that dont matter no more; PS3 marketing is just hitting its stride now.
Oh, Canada EB Games are taking PS3 preorders on monday!!!
the Maker of that video @ Oct 14th 2006 11:05AM
on the comment of the http://www.wiidiot.com link
every one liked the site and that was immature just like my vid
we are fan boys not fan men
Foppe @ Oct 14th 2006 12:12PM
All fanboys are inmature, it´s just a matter of grade.
Search the web and you will see bad movies made by Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo fanboys.
Some of us are old enough to know that it´s the games that matters, not the system. All system have great and bad games, and you need all systems to be able to playy all great games.
"I live in houston. a city with a few million people. maybe its different here... i don't know. but the ps3 sold out in seconds. confirmed by gamestop to be completely gone at around noon or so. the wii...... well.... not quite. as of closing tonight, they still had 2 available pre-orders. still no official "we're sold out" announcement. nothing.

I can see into the future...
I see that all released PS3 will be sold in the first 48 hours...
I see...
That not all launch Wii will be sold the first 48 hours...
I see...
That the reason is that Sony are releasing so few systems compared with Nintendo. It will be almost impossible to get a PS3 without preordering while it´s easier to get a Wii, since it exist so many of them.
Sponge @ Oct 14th 2006 12:44PM
"The patent documentation for the SixAxis controller were filed LONG before the WiiMote was revealed."
If this patent existed for so long and Sony always meant to put it in, why wasn't it a part of the "boomerang" and why wasn't it announced until after Nintendo announced it? Why did third-party developers first hear about it at E3 and why didn't they receive more info and dev-kits until 2 weeks afterwards? Where is the PROOF that this patent exists?
Andir2.0 @ Oct 14th 2006 1:21PM
"why wasn't it a part of the "boomerang""
-- Because nothing was announced for the boomerang except the one or two pictures
"why wasn't it announced until after Nintendo announced it?"
-- Maybe they wanted to surprise people but Nintendo beat them to the punch? I can't say what the tactic was.
"why didn't they receive more info and dev-kits until 2 weeks afterwards?"
-- maybe it wasn't finished enough yet... You honestly think they could have come up with the harware, software and control specs in two weeks? These things take time.
And for your last question, I'd have to go look it up on the patent site, but I have games to play, so I'll let you do that.
Sponge @ Oct 14th 2006 1:51PM

That's my point, Sony added it as a response to Nintendo. If they had been developing it for years they would have been ready.

*Lacks rumble.
Aex @ Oct 14th 2006 4:59PM
"That's my point, Sony added it as a response to Nintendo. If they had been developing it for years they would have been ready."
Delivery of it 2weeks after announcement means they were ready. Nintendo announced on april 27th, sony on may 8th. So in two weeks sony developed this technology and put it into a working controller? And in two weeks later they had it completely integrated into their dev kit? Riiiiiiggght.
I wish hardware development only took a month for a new idea. I mean being able to research, develop, test, integrate, and create a dev kit in a month... WOW
Luiz @ Oct 14th 2006 7:01PM
Ok,that is the worst nintendo fanboy video I ever saw.But check this one.Best of the best.

Listen Sony Fanboys that article on Wii preorders not sold out IS BULL$H17!!! My dad was at gamestop 8:20 to preorder my Wii and waited on a 120 person line with about 100 people in back of him till 10:50. Only 26 people got it plenty of people waited for nothing and thats more than 8 systems like they had of PS3. And I live in the suburns of NYC!
murc @ Oct 15th 2006 1:27AM
lololololololol
That was classic.
I think the only people who will like that Wii lovers, and non fanboys...and I'm a non-fanboy. I'm not getting a PS3 or a wii.
So I can lauch at all of you!
Muwhahahahaha
MaHe @ Oct 15th 2006 1:00PM
Sorry, but you fanboys are a bunch of idiots (doesn't matter what side you're on). The games matter, not the systems. Apparently, even Wiidiot.com is made by such a moron. It's funny to see people offended by a simple video. I admit I'll buy a Wii, but because I have some damn good reasons (the price, the release date ...), not because I hate Sony.
Seriously, you act like a bunch of 10 year olds ... *sigh*
Zac LaCombe @ Oct 15th 2006 1:10PM
For the record, Sony also patented a design of a control that can control your senses and brainwaves. So saying they patented it a long time ago, doesn't mean they ever planned on using it until they saw the Wii-mote. Honestly, I don't even think the Wii is in the same category as the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. It's sticking to GAMING. Not everyone craves all these features that they don't even know what it means. OH HMDI FOR US AND NOT XBOX360. Yes, since all Sony buyers have HDMI support in their TV's, it makes a huge difference, correct?
I think Nintendo is making a ballsy call by sticking to strictly gaming. The system'll have an extremely long, loyal fanbase no matter what Sony or Microsoft fanboys have to say about it.
Also, you complain about fanboys on this blog. It is called PS3 Fanboy. If you're looking up blogs and specs on a system before it comes out. Chances are, you're a fan of the system. If you'll argue about it, you're a fanboy. End of.
