Def Jam: Icon to rap and brawl its way onto the PS3

Are you a fan of the rap/hip-hop movement? Do you like fighting? How about games about one, or both? ...Play the other iterations of Def Jam? How about another question? Anyway, seems the PS3 will be receiving the next Def Jam (not "deaf", because spelling things inkorrectlee is kewl) and it's promising to be awesome to your ears and your fingers. Needless to say, you can expect some of the big names of the field to pop in (Ludacris, Big Boi, T.I...) The game is slated for a March 2007 release (how convenient, just in time for Europe's launch...) for both the PS3 and XBox 360.The game is developed by EA Chicago (the brains behind Fight Night Round 3) and are intent on using the environments and music as vital points during matches. How this exactly works is still up in the air, but we've a quote from executive producer Kudo Tsunoda: "we are changing the way fighting games are played! We are completely innovating the role of the environments in the games, moving from the typical lifeless arenas the hip-hop celebrities are fighting in to environments that play an instrumental part in the fight where they will react to the music and interact with both characters like a third fighter." Like a third fighter? Maybe like the Songstress class in FFX-2? Mostly buff your fighter and hinder the opponent? Or, you know, it could be this. Keep your eyes and ears open for any new developments on this title!

Def Jam is a recorod compant....you have any idea why it's call DEF JAM....well listen up....
Def stands for DEFIANT...as in to protest something...
Jam stands for JAMS a.k.a. music....
They may have been a crack at a joke...but it failed horribly....
These guys know how to SPELL....so before you decide to post something as ignorant as that again...you better think twice and do a little more research...that way people keep their respect about you and don't think of you as moot...

I'd find the exact link for you (it's about Mortal Kombat, thus the stem of the misspelling reference), but there's about 8 years' worth of stuff to go through and I don't really feel like it.
Not that it matters, but I've a heck of a lot of midterms to study for and my grandfather died last night. Forgive my ignorance, but my snark had to come out in some form, and Def Jam was an easy target.

Thats understandabl, and in which I retract my statment, but form one persons view i'm shure that you can see at how one would see my point...
As far ass Maddox that I did not know and therefore would not be able to take into account...sorry to hear about your grandfarther, I know that I was very close to mine and can relate....
It was not an attack on you, I was simply pointing that shit out...I'll be the first to admit when I was in the wrong, I just wouldn't want others to take offense at something so trivial....

@ David -- Thanks a lot. I appreciate the kind words! And no, no... you weren't in the wrong, no worries there. It was disrespectful to the rap culture, Maddox reference aside (no worries, it was a very vague reference anyway). So all in all, this whole experience never happened and all is well in PS3Fanboy Land =P. Have a good night!
