Ridge Racer 2 downloadable demo

1. Download the demo ZIP file.
2. Extract the contents of the ZIP file.
3. Connect your PSP to your computer using a USB cable.
4. Go to the PSP/GAME folder.
5. Copy UCES00422 folder into the GAME directory.

Note that opening the EBOOT in a hex editor and changing 2.81 to 2.80 also works for this demo. This will run on 2.80 as well...

I hex-edited the demo, so you can now play it in 2.80. I also changed the name from "RIDGE RACER 2" to "Ridge Racer 2". Link: http://rapidshare.com/files/54835/EBOOT.PBP.html

Any word on whether this rehashes the same tracks from the old game, or does it have anything really new?

Great demo thanks i was almost gonna upgrade to 2.81!
Quite interested in the seires now (bored of burnout)and doos anyone know which would be the better one to get (considering the first one is a LOT cheaper?

this works on 2.71 firmware too, I'm running 1.5 FW using devhook .46 to emulate 2.71 I've hex edited Ridge Racer 2 demo and it plays fine.

eruiu you don't need an eboot.phb folder. You need to make a folder named "UCES00422" inside of the folder named "game" on you psp, then put the file you just downloaded(named EBOOT) into it.

from what I've seen from the super short (and buggy) demo, the first one. Graphics are identical. New cars and tracks on the new one, sure, but if you havent played the first one then those are new to you too...

How do u make the folder named UCES00422. I am new at this so just help.
