The rumored UK PS3 game prices revealed!
The United Kingdom's largest videogame retailer, GAME, has apparently received some information regarding PS3 game pricing. Two managers from two different stores have begun to flap their traps. People have often feared that PS3 games will be more expensive than others thanks to the Blu-ray drive, increased development costs, etc, etc... and if this rumor holds true, then UK gamers have reason to fear -- they might just be more expensive. 115 Euros in Europe, 80 pounds sterling in the UK.Now, in the US, we know our launch titles are going for $59.99, but could it be that later games (which fall into the UK launch window) will cost more? Is it a kind of trap, pricing initial games lower, then raising them after we've purchased our glorious and beautiful system? Couldn't be! We'll keep this rumor in check and treat it as such. UK price rumor, I demand that you go make me a sandwich and become false! ...That'll do.
[thanks, Alex!]

Eighty squid????
No chance, it's utterly
inconceivable that we'd be charged that much.
It's bad enough when dollars get converted to
pounds without actually going through the exchange rate, but more pounds than dollars? I'll eat my vintage PS3 pre-order receipt if that happens.

Screw Europe by delaying the "worldwide" launch? Check.
Screw Europe with a higher system price? Check.
Screw Europe with higher game prices? Check.
Screw Europe/USA by lowering the system price in Japan? Check.
Screw the world by not including HDMI cables, which is needed to show 1080p? Check.
Screw the world by not adding rumble for 5$? Check.

HDMI isn't necessasary for 1080p. Sony has said this about a billion times, and I've said it probably another. It's only required for Blu-Ray movies which have the security token turned on. And most Blu-ray movies won't have this for at least 5 more years (until HDMI becomes more widely accepted).
COMPONENT CABLES WORK FOR 1080P.
So PLEASE. Just stop. If you know so little about a console you shouldn't be posting and trying to start flame wars.

Oh, also there is no way PS3 games are coming out at that price in Europe. That is just a silly silly rumor.
They will be the exact same price as 360 games. Sony is match Microsoft's pricing after seeing that people are receptive to that price point.

PS3s in England are already the most expensive in the world, if anything, we should get the cheapest games :)

That must be fake. I remember first generation ps2 games costing about £44.99 and now they usually are £34.99, so how can 1 game cost £80?
This is the dumbest rumor i have heard in years. Why does PS3 fanboy have this on their site?
