Sony's Play B3yond website updates

Sony is kicking their PS3 promotions into full gear. The latest PS3 propoganda is available via Sony's recently updated Play B3yond website. The new content is all about Rubick's Cubes, earthquakes, sunflowers and mazes. Sony is using some unique imagery to sell its computing prowess... and it's pretty effective. In the "coming soon" column of the continually revamped site is the "games" section. Come on Sony, this is the most important one! Let's see what you've got for us.
BTW, you have to be 18-years old to access the site. If you are under 18, then you have no hope of cracking the complex mathmatical code that will grant you access. And, if you're under 18, why would you want to play videogames anyway? Kudos to Sony for cracking down on under-age gaming!
[Thanks Jigstar]

I love it! My favorite, so far, is SMARTER. Fantastically creative and quite informative to those who were just planning to watch a commercial.
They give you a good feeling. Something that will stick with you, and probably even push you to telling your friends about it. Very effective.
Hats off to the creators, both direction and animation.

Nice marketing there but Sony will have to work extra harder as their July-Sept quarterly report ended with a 94% profit drop.

Not too bad, but I really didn't like the bit about how the cell is smarter than me. That may be true, but you don't have to brag about it Sony! :)

This is the kind of advertising that works for the masses; i.e. telling you directly why such-and-such is better; whether you agree with the content or its accuracy dont matter... people need to be told (over and over) what to like (PS3/BD/Cell etc) and what not to (HD-DVD etc) .. using pretty pictures and a good voice over helps too.
Expect to see lots of PS3 ads before Columbia and Sony movies this Fall/Winter .. esp. Casino Royale.

Good point Ritchie. Also Nintendo profits soared 72 percent. The marketing game is uphill for Sony. They better get their shit together real quick because if they can't out sell Wii through the course of the next few years, Sony will lose the thorne to Nintendo real fast. The big reason Nintendo rose was on the DS alone. If the Wii helps them Sony is screwed.

Have you seen their new commercial? I don't know who they are trying to market to with this freakish little baby...

The narrator sounds a lot like James Remar....

I think its Lance Henriksen, the guy that played the robot in the alien movies. He was the embodiement of why artifical intelligence could go wrong in the first movie.....hm....Is this really the voice to talk about the ps3's computing power?
