Japan gets fewer PS3's than expected... ouch!

It's not the freshest news, but it's not something we should avoid addressing. Recently, Sony announced their initial shipping estimate for Japanese gamers, 100,000 units up to 150,000 units, will be reduced by a significant amount -- only 80,000 units on launch. Those damned blue laser diodes must be very, very tricky to make.

Will this transfer over to US numbers? Nothing really on that yet, so let's assume not, since we've practically come to the last few weeks before launch. With that in mind -- some of you may want to pack up some canned food and an electric grill and begin camping out now. Especially if you live in Japan. We at PS3Fanboy do not in any way, shape, or form, envy the torture you will probably go through this November 11. Remember, remember... the... 11th of November.
