Images of new bundles (aka Pink PSP has worst box ever)

Oh no! The PSP bundles have been fairly attractive so far (especially the Killzone pack), but I guess Sony wanted to make a really hideous one for the girls. Does having P!nk scream at your face make you want a PSP? I think not. Hopefully, someone at Sony just got fired.
Kingplayer also has pictures of the other bundles that are being made available to Europeans, like the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories bundle. (Interestingly, the Pink PSP's Base Pack is a lot more elegant than this celebrity-endorsed version.)

It doesn't make -me- wanna' have a PSP, but have you guys considered that proactive female demographic that seem to draw inspiration from anything that's endorsed by Pink?
No, really; I find the damned thing hilariously hideous. However, I do feel that this pack is targeted towards a very specific audience that most of us can't relate to under the current circumstances.

Pink is HUGE right now. Not just the rockstar, but Victoria's Secret has their own now-popular 'Pink' line and frankly, this kind of stuff is huge right now all across the various marketing boards.
A pink PSP is big. It would do well if Sony would just release it in the USA... Along with everything else. A pink PSP is a great idea - not releasing it in the USA is a BAD idea.

I'm going to highly recommend, ONCE AGAIN, that some of you try to think of this from the perspective of a female audience. THIS IS GOOD! It's good for your PSP! Hell, I'm just going to conduct my own little experiment, and show this package to a moderate demographic of females. Let's see whether they dig the concept.
Either way, I think it's a good move. It's just not for me, but news flash: There's more audiences on this planet than the typical case of motor-mouth-manics with a p****. I think that is why DS is doing well, to a degree.

I don't think you realize this or not, but Pink actually has to crap these out of her own ass, that's why the face. At least that is what I heard...
Anyway, I somewhat agree with Kade, it is good.
More people to buy PSP, equals more people to buy games, equals more people to make games, equals more of a chance of good games, equals more me happy to have good games.
There are a lot of pretty cool games coming out (finally, imo) and even if some of them are re-hashed 8-16-bit games, that's okay with me, cause Mega-Man Powered Up is pretty fun to play (again).
Hopefully they'll sell more PSP units and just because they're pink ones, hopefully their not Barbie-type games coming with it. Then your head really asplode!

Eww... Come on. The pink color, the first thing you think is like Hello Kitty or something. Not like "Pink" the singer. And no girls are going to relate to that. That's just plain stupid marketing.
I mean seriously. You'd be better off with like Brad Pitt or someone like that if you were going for celebrity status for the female market.

I'm not surprised considering P!NK record label Arista is owned by... you guessed it... SONY. Can you blame Sony? They have the cross-product marketing down pat. Just look at the PSP and movie tie-ins.

Then because you're opinionated, and not everything is for everyone. Four very young and relatively outgoing women love the idea; how about you explain that one to me?
If you're a guy:
Then there are -far- greater problems in that post than mere arguments about videogames. However, the aforementioned theory could still apply, regardless of the issue. ;)

I think this is a tax write-off, fo'serious.
Sony music pays Sony electronics to advertise Pink on their pink PSPs, while collecting royalities on the brand-name.
I'm still trying to work out where having a hideously ugly picture of the singer fits into all this. Maybe Sony doesn't want to sell it, to avoid paying royalities.

Well as far as the demographic goes my girlfriend does not like pink (the color of the singer). I got her a normal PSP and customized it with a gold faceplate and clear buttons. She loves playing all the old school emulators and we even play against each other with the ones that have wifi. Granted she may be a little more mature then the target audience of this PSP (she's 25). But most older females aren't really into the whole stereotypical I love pink thing. My cousin might like the color but as she is 9 she isn't really into video games.
Also I have heard that Sony is coming out with a limited edition white PSP for Christmas. It will start out looking great but will merge with some lame firmware. Soon after that the visuals will go downhill fast then it will become bloated and not work anymore. It will have Britney Spears on the box.

Interesting. Since when was liking Pink a 'stereotype'; I thought she was supposed to be the alternative girl, albeit within a mainstream framework. But, I can't argue at this point. Interestingly enough, the four that I spoke of, earlier on, are around the same age as your girl friend - amusing, no?
But I'd agree, -this- particular scheme looks like it's geared towards a very young group.

my mums just asked if i want a psp for xmas and i said yes but only if its the pnk one. if somebody was going to buy the pink psp because they wanted, 'a pink psp', then they wouldnt event think about the box.
i wanted a psp because you can listen to music, look at pictures, watch music videos, watch movies, play games and surf the net on it. when i saw it came in pink i just wanted it because i liked pink. who cares what the box has on it. its not as if it has that picture on the actual psp. that would be a different argument. i deffinately would NOT have bought a psp with pinks screaming face on the back of it.
i agree that the box doesnt appeal to me but nobody really cares whats ont he box to be honest. hello... its a pink psp... what more could a girl want. anyway, i rest my case.

oh my god! get over it! its just a picture of pink! you must lead some sad life if you are going to pick at every detail on a flamin box! if you dont like the box just because it has a picture of pink on it then why do you care? it's not like you get the psp just for the packaging. get a life!
