While an official launch list hasn't materilaized, the following games have been confirmed for Day1 availability. As with any launch, it's a mix of good news and bad news.
- Call of Duty 3
- Fight Night Round 3
- Genji: Days of the Blade
- Madden NFL 2007
- Marvel Ultimate Alliance
- Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire
- NBA '07
- NBA 2k7
- Need for Speed: Carbon
- NHL 2k7
- Resistance: Fall of Man
- Ridge Racer 7
- Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07
- Tony Hawk's Project 8
- Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom
Multiplatformers and ports far out-weigh the exclusives, but the original titles that are there should be enough to keep our PS3s running well past Xmas when the next round of releases really begin to hit. Resistance and Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidge Racer are high on my list. I may be picking up some combination of Untold Legends, Tiger Woods and Marvel: UA too. What are you going to get?Tags: Ps3

Gamespot has reviews for Genji (6.4) and Tony Hawk (7.3) and mentions framerate issues. RFOM increasingly looks like it's going to assume the role of "killer-app" for the PS3. EA also cancelled their NBA Live 07 offering for the PS3.
While I may say hello to some buddies waiting at Best Buy, I've decided to hold off until MGS before I pull the trigger. For now, I'll stick to xbox360dspsp.
