About that new PS3Fanboy banner...

All right, well, my boss and I have tried and tried to get answers, but our voices are about as loud as if we were in outer space... where no one can hear you complain. This is in reference to the new PS3Fanboy banner that for some reason still hasn't been implemented. This post is, basically, a type of petition asking for answers. I've heard the question at least thirty-two bazillion times: "so, liek, where iz da n00 banner dumMy?" If your spelling was better than that, consider that what the question looks like in my mind... it's become deformed from being asked so many times.

This is your time to rally together and to ask as a collective unit and not just as a single comment, "Where the hell is the new PS3Fanboy banner?" You don't have to ask that exact question as your comment, but getting a great response would be helpful here. C'mon, guys, don't ignore the plight of PS3Fanboy! We sponsored a contest and we want to give the winner their due. This makes us look bad and not those responsible and that's not fair. Now, readers, leave us a comment asking where that banner is -- get it out of your system because I can't bear to hear it anymore. There's no excuse that we've still got an abandoned prototype PS3 controller as our banner. No excuse.

We're long over due for the banner. The PS3 was released last month, and we're still looking at the Bat-A-Rang.

Yeah, where the heck is the new banner?!

Also, whats the deal? Are you guys forced to utilize a certain person (or company) for all your graphic design stuff? Seems messed up you're not able to get traction with them. Thats not the sort of setup a site/business should have.

Even though it's outdated I prefer the old one. I can't stand the Photoshop default yellow outer-glow. If I'd known about the competition I would have entered.

@ Daylon -- Wow! Don't feel insulted, because I mean this in a "how don't I?" way, but I totally don't remember that one. But also, if they ever get the new banner up, I'm definitely up for a regular, possibly quarterly, contest. You can resubmit that one if you want, or try something new. This is all, of course, very optimistic. We're probably stuck with the Boomerang until the PS4 is announced. =(

Nick Doer, how is it that you have absolutely no authority over what this site looks like? Not trying to be insulting or anything, but given the fact that you contribute nearly EVERY article to this site, you'd think you'd have earned the autonomy needed to just change a picture.

Joystiq/Engadget absolutely hate(s) Sony, loves Nintendo and sort of tolerates but often bashes Microsoft.

What you see going on here is no different than their daily ragfests on Sony, the PS3 or PSP. They really honest-to-goodness do not like Sony's gaming products and do not like Sony, and they're basically out to make them look as bad as they possibly can. At least, that's the very apparent intention of most of their bloggers.

So does this apathy about the PS3 banner surprise anyone? They love displaying the old boomerang controller up there as it's a symbol of Sony's failure. And to Weblogs/EN/JQ, it's ALL about emphasizing Sony failing.
