This is just a rumor, but it may as well be true. Tomorrow, it seems that most Targets will be getting a shipment of PS3's in. What does this mean to you, oh PS3-owning crowd? Not much. How about to the rest of us who don't have one (read: me)? It's another chance to score. It might be our last chance before the big ol' Christmas rush. Perhaps it's even too late for that. Hmm, there's not really much more to say about that. Good luck? Make sure you give the Target a call before storming in there -- it might not be every store that's getting some. I'll do my part and check around the local stores here and let you know tomorrow. By then, though, it'll probably be too late. Sorry!

Or you can not waste your time and just use itrackr like everyone else is: http://www.itrackr.com
my friend got 2 Tickle Me Elmos and Ninendo Wii from using this itrackr program...it is easy...
Wesley Hester @ Dec 11th 2006 12:42PM
Wal-Marts seem to be getting a small but steady supply. I got a 60GB this past Saturday (Dec 9th). I was told it was the last one of 4 they had recently got in stock.
Adrian @ Dec 11th 2006 12:43PM
I second T1000and1, the PS forums seems to be buzzing about this one: http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board?board.id=launch

You may already be too late Nick.
All the local Targets in FSU country received shipments Sunday at midnight. I got a text message from iTracker Sunday night, and got up this morning at 9am and headed to my nearest Target thinking that they opened at 10am. To my suprise, Target is opening at 8am for holiday hours. But luckily enough, they got 9 60gig units in, and had 5 left. They were already down to 3 by the time I left. I would call your Target in Athens and make sure they didn't get them today, and if they didn't then make sure to remember that the store opens at 8am.
I am blown away by the system so far, and very pleased with my purchase. Good luck to you!
p.s. Doing my masters at FSU, but grew up spending my saturdays at Sanford Stadium. Go Dawgs! And good luck on your finals!

Got mine from target last week using itrackr as well.
saw a bunch of people on the official ps forums having success with it, so i signed up to give it a try.
I recieved my text message around 11p the next night taht they got them instock, i figured 'what the hell, i'll check in the morning'. there were 6 people in line when i got there, 3 of them were waiting for the wii and i got the 2th out of the 5 60gb PS3s they just got.
I dunno how itracker works, but after looking for a PS3 for weeks, it's amazing.
Stanley @ Dec 12th 2006 10:23AM
Yup it exactly works. I was skeptical at first, but when went to target early in the morning, I saw PS3s behind the glass display at Target, I was in awe. So I lucked out and got one.
visionep @ Dec 11th 2006 4:42PM
So I guess the comments section on these low stock items is now reserved for advertising of services that will help you get said items.
As much as I'm sure you people want to promote your website, please don't spam the forums with your shill testamonials. And even if these aren't shill's stop posting useless me-too responses people.
It would be much more informative for people to state where they got their merchandise and what they had to do to get it? Get there early? Rush over during work after getting an SMS message? Fight off homeless people paid to browse the store for weeks on end until new units show up?
Let's keep the ads on the sidebar.

this is completely off topic but anyway..
a bit of rant..
so a few of my co workers are anti-sony type of guys.. one of them actually hates sony a lot that he forced me to get wii or 360 instead.. you know I'm so tired of listening to this bullshit, cuz he doesnt has ps3 so his reasonings aren't legit IMHO.
but anyway I'm not a fanboy myself, but seeing these guys with their nunchakus, showing off.. and here comes the most irritating stuff.. bashing ps3.. this makes me even love my ps3 more than before.
but yea i'm not into arguing which one is the best cuz I know playstation is always the best.
that probably converts me into a fanboy.. hmm i dunno.. it's just so tiring listening to the same thing everyday..
with that said, good luck to those who just got ps3!! more power to you
Josh @ Dec 11th 2006 7:27PM
No thanks on waiting again!! I've already been there and done that. I love my PS3 and it was worth the very long 36hrs, however I will not wait that long again until the PS4 arrives.
Jonathan @ Dec 12th 2006 1:15PM
itrackr worked for my roommate, as he got one from target on early friday morning...i think they had about 7 or so that morning.
Unfortunately, ours freezes all of the time so we called Sony and theyre sending us a pre-paid shipping box, so that we send them our PS3 and then sending us a new one. Im a bit disappointed but i did play Resistance on the Ps3 my other friend bought too, and it is great. im pretty impressed with the system, though ours has crapped out.
Pete @ Dec 12th 2006 8:36AM
Hoax, Rumor, whatever you wanna call it. At least for lower Michigan it is, just called the 3 closest Targets, neither had any available. Gotta stop wasting gas on these wild goose chases
The Natural @ Dec 12th 2006 9:04AM
You guys serious? We have PS3's sitting here on the shelves in Tampa...I'm about to take mine back since no one wants to buy it.
Pete @ Dec 12th 2006 9:16AM
@The Natural
See, if only they could deliver that to the same store chain in Michigan. Say that you got your PS3 from target in Florida. I should be able to walk into my Target in Michigan and ask if they have any inventory in any store of their chain, find it, and I'll pay to ship it here. But then again, I guess that's a perfect world. I did it with my computer 4 years ago at circuit city, shouldn't be any reason I couldn't do it with the PS3...
Pete @ Dec 12th 2006 9:22AM
oh and by the way, (once again, only speaking for lower michigan) I just signed up for that iTrackr website, I really wish I could have refunded my $2, just called several stores who were supposed to "just got them in stock" according to iTrackr. Long story short, don't make my mistake, just free sign up for it to be safe and keep checking the site
Justin @ Dec 12th 2006 10:37AM
Pete,
You do know the floor employees usually are unaware they have some in the back, right? (esp. w/Target - where itrackr seems the best at) You probably missed out unless they showed you, on screen, that its not in stock.
Ninnibon @ Dec 12th 2006 12:33PM
I was very skeptical about iTrakr. Thought it was some kind of scam. Nevertheless, I had been checking it pretty regularly the past few weeks hoping to find a PS3 in the NYC area. To my amazement, it reported overnight that there were PS3's in stock at one of the two targets in NYC. I didn't think it was even a possible, but desperation had set in to find the PS3, the coolest piece of hardware I've ever had. I've always been loyal to Sony products, not quite the "fanboy" level, but enough to warrant getting up at the crack o' dawn to get one.
I made it to Target for opening. There were 18 PS3's. 8 of which were 60GB. About 10 of us in line who went straight for the electronics section. I got one! It's still like a dream.
Thanks to iTrackr for not being a BS service.
Pete @ Dec 12th 2006 4:42PM
Justin,
You may be right. Customer service sucks in a ways tho. I usually ask if they can check inventory and they always say they don't have it. Maybe I'm not asking enough. What exactly do you guys say to find them, because I always get somebody who is so used to saying, NO WE DON'T HAVE THEM, that I get discouraged.
Rick @ Dec 12th 2006 5:58PM
I got a 60gb at target today, they had 5-6, got there about 10 o clock. no rush
Pete @ Dec 13th 2006 12:23AM
Kind of off topic and unrelated to this site (so why say it, right?). But anyways, I want to sell these wii controllers. What's you guy's opinion, sell the nunchuk and controller separately or together (in terms of profit motive, gotta recoupe money for the ps3).
Dustin @ Dec 14th 2006 2:06AM
Thank the lord for iTrackr. I had already waited in lines more than once, and missed a PS3 by one at BestBuy. I signed up for iTrackr and that same night it said target had them. Next morning I was at the door for 8 and got the 4th out of 12 60gb PS3s. What a great free service. Hell, it even found me a Wii that same day.
