Unlock all of MGS:PO's unique characters

While driving around using the GPS system will get you some characters, the coolest ones have to be earned through the game. Or... through these cheats. A forum member from MGCN called SHADOW.EXE has uncovered passwords for what could be every unique character in the game. Check it out:

HUNTER-N is NULL
LQ.N2 is PYTHON
JUNKER is CUNNINGHAM
ERBE is GENE
PK +ESP is URSULA (can't be got with ELISA at the same time)
THE-L is ELISA (can't be got with URSULA at the same time)
E.APPLE is EVA
PM-EMS is PARAMEDIC
DARPA-1 is SIGHT
R.R.R. is OCELOT
1+2-3 is ZERO
SATURNV is SOKOLOV
IVN =RV is RAIKOV
T.F-ACID is TELIKO
MGA2VE is VENUS
! TRAUMER is GAKO

uhm... where do you enter these passwords??

You enter the passwords on the manage screen. Go to Recruit, and one of the recruit options (the last option on the list) is Enter Password.

You can also unlock most (all?) of these guys normally. The majority of them can't be acquired on your first time through the game, though...

By the way, the name of the character is SIGINT, not SIGHT.

Hmm... When I go to the 'Enter Password' option - I see keyword W8AV. There doesn't seem to be a way to CHANGE the keyword to one of those listed here. Am I missing something? Or do I have to first figure out the password for W8AV beore I get any more interesting characters to show up? BTW - I'm on my first time through the game.

Well...the manual does say the passwords would be released through "various media outlets" so I guess this makes sense. BTW, #4, I hope you've figured out by now that the keyword has nothing to do with the password...hit the circle button when you've highlighted "Enter Password" and again when the single "Enter Password" prompts you.

Heh - I figured that out all right. What I did NOT figure out is that I had the password and character name backwords... Yeah, I know. In my defense: this is my first MGS game. And BTW - I don't get ANY of the moves other than grabbing from behind and chokiking. Restraining? Doesn't work for me. I'm sure it's somethign obvious. But I can't do it. All I can do is choke and once the enemy passes out - drag him to the truck...
