More FF awesomeness: Tactics features multiplayer & FFVII kicks butt

An enthusiastic reader, Pal, sent us a great tip about the upcoming Final Fantasy Tactics for PSP. Not only will the game come with new cutscenes and new job classes, the game will also feature ad-hoc multiplayer. Many Tactics fans have been waiting patiently for a way to the game with others, and it appears that the PSP version will deliver. If Square-Enix considered Infrastructure multiplayer, I'd imagine that our pal might simply implode.
Finally, if you weren't convinced of Crisis Core's awesomeness, read IGN's latest preview:
"From a strictly gameplay standpoint, Crisis Core seems solid, with a fast pace and the potential for a good mix of action and menu-based battle systems ... Crisis Core looks better than most PS2 games out there. During cinematic scenes, the character models are detailed and fully animated. Battles contain screens with double digit enemies, and giant bosses. All that, and full voice, without any pauses for loading! ... Personally, I think all the "Compilation of Final Fantasy VII" products released so far have been second rate. But Crisis Core looks so good that it could turn things around on its own."

I just might have a mangasm over this...

I cant wait for both games.
You know, Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core does look alot better than most PS2 games. I was suprised when I saw the trailer. I thought it was for PS2, because of the graphics. Now, I hear that there is no loading, that's even way better.
Man, I cant wait.

IF crisis core ever comes out and IF it's actually good, then I'm gonna be the happiest little schoolgirl ever.
But after Dirge of Cerebus and the vaporwareness of bigname PSP titles (this, GT4, Project HL), it's hard for me to get super excited...
right now at least.

I really don't want give my money to the "DS loving Square-Enix", seriously I don't (I'm not going to get into it) but damn it these games are the hotness! Crisis Core looks freaking beautiful and sounds like its gameplay is not bad ether.
Final Fantasy Tactics, I've never played the game, I was young and clueless, but now since I know better I'll finally get to see what the big deal is. Luke Smith, a person I admire, has said in a podcast (1up yours) that FF: Tactics is one of his top 10 favorite games of all time. To me, that’s saying a lot if it’s coming from him.
Who wants to bet Tactics comes here sooner?

It'll take at least two years to come to Europe, as did Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy: Advent Children, etc.
This SO sucks! I'm quite excited about CC.

"Crisis Core looks better than most PS2 games out there."
As powerful as the PSP is, and as talented as Squeenix is at making great looking games on Sony's hardware, I have a VERY hard time believing this statement from IGN, at least in the traditional sense of "better."
Don't get me wrong, the game is probably going to look fantastic, possibly even going into the jaw-dropping realm, but I still cannot imagine it looking better than most PS2 titles, unless you're using swill like "Fugitive Hunter" and "NRA Gun Club" as your par.
The way in which the game will look "better" than most simply due to the amazing art and designs used in the game, not due to polygon counts or how many visual effects can be displayed on the screen at once.

That is going to be sweet having multi player on FFT and may be when it comes out in the US it could see Infrastructure play I do not think it will but it is cool to hope.

While I am also looking forward to both games, let me say it plain and simple - for the majority of PSP users, ad hoc multiplayer = NO multiplayer. It is *exactly* the same as LAN multiplayer vs. 'net multiplayer for FPS a dozen years ago.
