Gran Turismo HD/5 Demo details are here!

There's got to be a way to get our grubby American hands on this demo! Japan gets to download the free GTHD demo on December 24th, we know, but what does it include? New details have surfaced and the available cars and track are known. The track is Eiger Nordwand, available in both normal and reverse racing modes. The cars are thus:

Suzuki Cappuccino '95
Mazda Eunos Roadster '89
Honda Integra Type R'04 (yes, the Integra is a Honda)
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV GSR'96
Infinity G35 Coupe
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX GSR'05
Lotus Elise 111R'04
Nissan Sky Liner GT-R V Spec II '94
Toyota Celica GT-FOUR Rally Car '95
Ferrari 599'06

You start with the Cappuccino, just like every day of my life (har, har), and by completing certain criteria, you unlock the next car. So on and so forth. No online play, but you can post your scores online and the top-ranking fellows even have the race itself up for download. Pretty snazzy! Hope we can get into it, also.

I think Sony can't be that stupid not to let this Demo come out in North America. With all the bad news for the PS3 this would be some thing that people would be thankful for. So I hope this will make it over to North America soon.

They better hurry up because looking at Forza 2 on the 360 running at 60 fps and released in March they have it all to do.

Just create a Japanese account on your US PS3 kids. For a how to, do a quick search on the world wide internet.

how many time do i have to say this? It dosent matter if its japanese only, you can download stuff from the japanese Playstation store by making a new profile and signing up to the playstation network, set your country as japan

The need to release it in NA not have some workaround to get it. Sony needs to end 2006 on a good note.

The graphics and gameplay on Forza 2 for the Xbox 360 look outstanding, the Gran Turismo 5 or whatever version we are on now looks weak and stale (i.e Rocky 1,0000),the 360 is looking good and the games lineup for 2007 is fantastic,I just can't ignore the 360. goodbye Sony......

The Gran Turismo series producer talked about how the demo came about, and what we can expect in the coming year from his hard working team at Polyphony Digital.

As the ass above so rudely put it... There were two spelling mistakes in the cars -

Infinity should be spelled Infiniti
Sky Liner should be Skyline

I at least won't mock you for it everyone makes mistakes.

@ Rob and "flyguy" -- I see the spelling mistakes, consider them corrected. Teaches me to cut and paste the car list from the "streetwise" folk over at IGN. Otherwise I probably would have seen them, because trust me, I know cars.

Sorry I came off rude, I was venting my frustration with Optimus Prime trolling on 360 Fanboy and Joystiq. I wasn't mocking you Nick, just PS3 Fanboy ;)

IGN making a spelling mistake on one of the most prized cars in the world (GT-R)? Yeah, everyone makes mistakes, but that was really stupid and unprofessional on their part...
