Ubisoft announces 5 European launch titles

Sometimes we wonder why Sony didn't just wait to launch worldwide in March, then we remember how utterly crazy that would have been -- so instead we wonder why Sony didn't just launch worldwide in November, then remember how that would have probably turned out. The solution? Apologize to Europe with an extensive list of launch titles... and these five are from Ubisoft. Recently announced, recently given the thumbs-up by us... except for all the damn Tom Clancy games. What a jerk. Don't ask why; just believe and it will be so.Geez. We really need to stop making games called "Blah Blah [COLON] Subtitle Nonsense". I'm sick of staring at colons. Get it? Colons are in your body, too. Seriously, making a title have a forced pause to sound more powerful and dramatic is getting really old. Yeah, it's trivial and pointless, but it bothers me, so I thought I'd throw that out there. Anywho, Europe, get ready to get your Ubisoft games on. Or your Tom Clancy on.
- Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2
- Splinter Cell: Double Agent
- Rainbow Six: Vegas
- Blazing Angels
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

As a 360 owner not much to buy there :-(, ill be picking GRAW2 up but maybe on 360 if the ps3's online does not improve

God, Ubisoft is the european EA. Just a bunch of sequels, ports, and crap. God forbid they make an original game.

Remeber, Blazing Angels is actually "Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII". You left out a colon...

@ mietha -- egads! I did leave out a colon. I guess that was "My Bad: Game Title Error". Haha thanks for pointing that out! Geez... every game has a colon title. We should come up with new game titles for these without colons. "Advanced Ghost Recon Warfighter 2" or "The Splinter Cell's Double Agent" or "Blazing Angels Squadron" (drop off the WWII... everything's freakin' WWII)... etc, etc. Sorry to babble, but thanks! =)

You've had problems with PS3 online mike? What per say seems to be the big deal? All the basic functionality of live is there, Friends list, video chatting, voice chat, etc etc.
Of course i also like having seperate in game friends lists too... it makes it that much easier for me to track who i know and from where.
But what problems have you had? So far, i've had very few to no problems hooking up with friends ingame... but i do hope they add an invite to game option like 360, because i have yet to see that personally.

There is a game invite function within Resistance. And speaking of Resistance, does anyone have any information about the stats reporting problem? It's been down a few days now.

Oblivion is published by Ubisoft? That is odd. Is this due to the recent take 2 problems?

4 out of 5 of these titles have been available on the 360 for a while. It will be interesting to see if Ubi takes any time to improve them beyond the 360 versions. As someone who already owns a 360, it's really tough to get excited about this list. They're great games, but well-played and familiar territory at this point.
While RFOM multiplayer is a well-known commodity, the PS3 has been entirely lacking when it comes to online multiplayer. Hopefully, these titles will improve the state of PS3 online play. If they're simply comparable to the 360 versions with fewer online features, Sony has a problem.
