FEAR shows off some slow-mo gameplay
I'm looking forward to F.E.A.R. on the PS3. I skipped it on the PC and was too busy for it when it hit the 360. With a little more than a month to go before the game lands on the PS3, it looks like the timing will work out for me and this game to finally connect. The latest gameplay footage from our good friends over at gametrailers.com shows off a few of the slo-mo battles that you'll face on the PS3... the last few seconds of this clip just make me smile.

This game was AWESOME - uh whenever I played it on the PC (in freaking 2005). The game still looks good, but with no real graphical improvements, no new content (they're adding anything, are they?), and a PC version that will be 1/3 the price - it's hard to get excited about this.
The same went for me and the 360 version. Who the flip cares? First person shooters are ALWAYS better on a PC, and this one is almost a year and a half old.
Not trying to be a hater - I just don't think this (or ubisoft dry humping Far Cry for all its worth) is anything to get excited about. Just a bunch of rehashes of 1-2 year old FPS combined with an inferior control method...

maybe you can use a mouse and keyboard on this game with the PS3. i wouldnt want to but that would be cool.

I don't know why PC gaming fans are so mad at game controllers, I hate playing on PC, there's a thousand keys to memorize, combinaisons are not always intuitives and even with my laser mouse, I really prefer gaming on my couch with a good rumble controller in front of my HDTV and a drink next to me.
No mouses on consoles PLEASE !! controllers ONLY.

The PS2/PS3 controller sucks for an FPS games (cringes at thoughts of trudging through Killzone). The triggers and thumb-bumping analog stick placement just don't agree with it.
FEAR is a good game in any case, and is worth picking up if you are like me and refuse to game on the PC if possible. PC gaming just has no fun-factor for me, even though my machine is perfectly capable of gaming.
The multiplayer reminds me of Counterstrike somewhat, only much better. As far as unnecessary M&K support, I don't think it would be a problem (competitively) on the PS3. Playstation Network matches are likely to be a lot less competitive than Xbox Live matches as there is no motivation to be "elitist". M&K would end up being more of a comfort thing than a rank-whore advantage.

ermm..the blood effects need to be more like gears. It needs better detail and textures on stuff. It looks quite good though, if you've never played it.

So you like your blood to look like syrup FOX619?
Not excited for this game personally, played it on my PC back around when it originally released.
And I've never had any issues with thumb bumping while playing a FPS on the PS2 and from what I've seen on the PS2 controller, they've moved the analog sticks further apart. All preference I guess, I prefer mouse and keyboard to controller any day for those. :D

Just finished this game (minutes ago) on my 360. It's a fantastic game, and I'm sure will be loads of fun to PS3 gamers :)
Damn last level rocked :-D

Ditto, #1.
Why would we be paying so much for a port that is over a year old?
Doom? Maybe. Far Cry? Not a chance. FEAR? If I already own it on PC, why would I pay $60 to play it again on my console? It's not like you can use the slow-mo in multiplayer.
