Ask PSP Fanboy: Volume 1

Every Saturday, PSP Fanboy will answer your burning questions. If you have a question for the team, send an e-mail to andrew @ pspfanboy.com with the subject "Ask PSP Fanboy."

Q: What has been the problem with release of Metal Slug Anthology for the PSP? Its release date is constantly being pushed back. It was originally supposed to be released December 18th. Does SNK Playmore have a reason for the huge delay? Is it ever going to be released??
Andrew says: Actually, Metal Slug Anthology was originally supposed to come out in November, but continued to get pushed back. As it stands now, the game will come out in February. Why a delay? Although SNK didn't respond to our e-mail requests, it's reasonable to think that SNK is trying to push the Wii version of the title as much as possible before refocusing their efforts for the PSP.

GPS ... WRU???!

Q: When is the GPS accessory for the PSP being released over here in the States? I'm getting really jealous of our fellow Fanboys in Japan.
Andrew says: Don't hold your breath for it. The chances of the GPS accessory releasing in the US any time soon is slim. Sony didn't respond to our e-mails in time, but I'd postulate that if the GPS left Japan, it would go to Europe first.

Q: I'm always a fan of Playstation but i have never got in touch in to PSP. Lately the PSP price have drop to a effortable price to me and I have wonder should I buy a PSP now or should I wait? Since that I
have read your website and know that is going to have a new PSP coming soon.
Andrew says: You will sometimes see good deals on the PSP. If you don't have one right now, it might be best to wait a little bit, at least until the 2007 games start coming out. There aren't any new titles really coming out right now, so wait until you find a price that's good for you. Don't wait for an official price drop or redesign, because that could take a long time to happen.
