How about some awesome Lair screenshots? [update 1]

The game, as far as we've been able to dig up, is still slated for a March release. Since it will be competing with a plethora of titles coming out in the European launch window, they've got to really sell people on the huge, epic dragon battle portion of the game. Shouldn't be hard... just look at this stuff! If the game plays anything like it looks, it'll at the very least merit a rental. If you don't think so, just rent the movie Dragonheart 2 and see how badly big dragon fights can go down.
[seems IGN lists Lair as a May release -- we'd like to beg to differ, but we don't really beg.]

Gamefront uses frames...
Right click in the frame that the pic is in and choose 'show only this frame' or similar depending on browser...
you will then have the url that the pics are one...

Dreadhead541 @ Jan 22nd 2007 12:15PM

That's not screens from game play. Those are CG...
Here is a link below to the footage from TGS 2006. The game looks good but nothing like the screens you think are in game.

It's been a long time since TGS... like Motorstorm...

You think this is a screen shot of game play footage?

Those would only be game play if the game was done in first person.
I'm looking forward to this game like the rest of you but you have to be real and look at all the gameplay videos that are available on the net. You will notice that a lot of these screens that are being passed off as game footage for PS3 games are total crap.
Infact, the latest GameInformer has a section for Motorstorm with shots that they are passing off as game play when they are clearly CG.
Just tired of the bullshit.

clearly CG? to me its clearly gameplay because the dragons look considerably worse then some of the first screen shots they revealed. the wings look much less leathery now, and more like just a layer of polygons with low res textures. im disappoitned in these pictures actually.
oh and all the screens of motorstorm are real, get over it.

After watching the CG trailer many times, it's easy to see that those are definitely not CG, but in-game. They may not be using all game camera angles, but those are rendered using the game engine for sure.
Looks good. Not CG good, but damn good.

Kingo,
What you are seeing are actually screenshots of live play from earlier builds of the game. It's not that they're trying to pass it off like that intentionally, it's just that like every other child with a new toy, they go "look what I got!" When they see what the PS3 can do when they first render the game. Granted, Killzone 2 was a blunder caused by the "know-it-all know nothings" in the Sony higher echelon who can't tell between a "goal" and an in-game render, but for the games, the earlier build will have more detail, Every game does before it's scaled-down. As a matter of fact, rumour has it that the lair disc will have the fully-rendered dragons as a unlockable model for viewing. I don't know why, they could totally soup it up and have that one for lair 2.
Oh, well...
