If you can't decide if you want to read or play games... why not both?

If you're a big book nut, you may recognize the name Darren Reid -- a well respected fantasy author who recently wrote the book Sword of Oz. We italicize it because it's also called a "next-gen book"... or you could call it an interactive epic fantasy e-book. Imagine a "choose your own adventure" style book, but you play it just as much as you read it. Yep. Anyway, the game/book is essentially a prequel to The Wizard of Oz, exploring Oz's "tragic" past... if you choose that adventure.

This reminds me of those board games that came with a VHS tape -- anyone ever play the board game "Nightmare"? Where the tape somehow plays with you... it's pretty weird. Sword of Oz strikes me as something similar. It's a book, but it's a non-linear (probably text-based) game, also. It's interesting and something everyone should at least give one shot. Sword of Oz is available for the Wii, DS, PSP, PS3 and PC. If you want some more information, check out NextGenBooks.com for... stuff... and things.
