Another European PS3 ad hits

You never know what you're going to get with a Sony PS3 ad. Those crazy creative-types over in Sony's marketing department have turned their attention to the SIXAXIS in this latest advert featuring a ballet of dirt bikes. I'm not sure what all of this has to do with games (at least Lair makes an appearance), but the 60-second spot sure are slick.

Sony is still trying way too hard with their advertisements. They've toned it down a bit since those very odd 'PS3 in a white room' ads, but they're still trying too hard. Stick with simplicity Sony. That's what Nintendo did, and Microsoft didn't try at all with their first XBOX 360 ads.

I think the PS3 ad agency is making ads to try and win awards, not to sell products. They should talk to their TV people... much better stuff.

Someone in Sony needs to take two hard decisions:
1. In future all their consumer electronics devices should designed by the VIAO or Sony-Ericsson divisions;
2. All their advertising should be done by the BRAVIA advertising team.

They need to try showing some of those fancy, True-HD, next-gen games in their commercials. Oh wait, they don't really have any of those yet. At least nothing that everyone hasn't already seen. I guess we did get a glimpse of Lair at the end. If only it didn't look horribly ordinary.

Note your number two. Reminds me of the high brow ads Infinity used to use to hype up their cars when they first came out. Never clicked with the mainstream but got rave reviews.

Where is my wallet I can't wait to go out and by a new PS3 BMX edition bike! Wait you mean this was an advertisement for the console... nevermind.
