PS3's Oblivion to include both expansions?
Gosh, hopefully I can finish this by 11AM... so let's get right to it, shall we? We're all aware that Oblivion is coming to the PS3 and we'll probably get that one expansion too -- what's it called? Something about Knights of the Nine or whatever. It's probably going to be a downloadable expansion from day one of Oblivion's release. We have to ask because the newest addition, Shivering Isles, has been sweeping up all of the attention. This new expansion takes you on a quest to take out an entirely different Daedric Prince, this one of "Madness". The size of the Shivering Isles is approximately one quarter that of the land of Oblivion, Cyrodiil. The quest itself? Well, aside from all the random time-wasting crap you can probably do, the main adventure is supposed to clock in around 30 hours. If you're wondering, you can go back and forth between the two lands with your character as you please. Anywho, there's no word on if this will be packaged with the PS3 Oblivion, but it's doubtful. It'll be out not too long after the initial release, though, as the PC and 360 are expecting the expansion sometime this Spring.

nice misleading headline. what was the point of this post? to quote someone else saying "we don't know if the new expansion will be included, and we have no release date for it if it's not." ok, thanks!

The question is, WHY would you want anything that's remotely connected to Oblivion? It's a completely mediocre action-adventure game (no, it's not an RPG. Possibly a PG, Playing Game, but since you don't actually have any form of meaningful character interaction except bashing people on the head and being mute, it doesn't qualify) whose only saving grace is the fact that many people who brought wonderful mods to Morrowind PC are attempting to fix the wreckage that is Oblivion. Unfortunately for the 360 and PS3 users, you're stuck with this incredibly broken game.
I'll give you an example: Everything scales with you. You'll find an onion, a spoon and two gold pieces in the chest at the end of a dungeon at level 1, you can finish the game on level 1, and when you level up your enemies don't just scale with you, some despawn and some magically appear out of nowhere, and lowly highwaymen will run around in armor and weaponry worth in excess of whatever they were attempting to extort. Daedric armor, of which only two suits were available in Morrowind, is now available for every bandit and highwayman in Oblivion.
Don't waste your time on this game, use your PS3 for something more productive, like letting it sit and do nothing or play a good game instead. The spring is looking good for the PS3, this is not one of the things which makes it look good.

Let me translate for you: "?" means that Doerr, or as I like to say "DOH!", can say repeat any rumor he wants without having to clarify it as a Rumor.
Seriously Doerr, preface these posts with "RUMOR:" and you won't have people thinking it is misleading...
...or you could post real news, but that would never happen because reality has an anti-Sony bias.

Also of note, fellas, under the "filed under" portion beneath the Post's title, there's a little word there... what is it? AH, AhhhhhHhHHHh! It's "Rumor"! Perhaps this is a rumor, then? =P

I think the PS3 version will come out with two versions one that is just the normal game and the other that costs like 80 dollars and if it costs some thing like that I will be getting the one that I have to pay more money.

Right Doerr... We see that...
Of course, our RSS readers rarely do. All we get is a subject line. We can't help but jump to conclusions. Do like other publications and make the subject "RUMOR: This is a subject".
