A comment on comments

I've never liked the comments system here at PSP Fanboy. Why? Because I would have to wait a few minutes to get an e-mail confirmation in order to make my comment active. And who can wait that long? Certainly I can't: I have better things to do than be on this site. (Don't worry folks, that was a joke. I don't have anything better to do with my life!)
Now, such insanity is gone! After submitting a comment, check your e-mail for a password you can use that will stop those annoying confirmation e-mails. You can even save your password on your computer, making comments as easy as having your car flip over in Rally Cross (meaning: ridiculously easy). This password will work on all of the eclectic Weblogs Inc sites, including Joystiq (the anti-Sony kids), PS3 Fanboy (the rich kids), DS Fanboy (the kiddy kids), Engadget (the cool kids), Blogging Baby (the pregnant kids), and more.
Of course, this being a new feature, there are a few things that need to be tweaked. But don't worry, if we sacrifice enough virgin bloggers, the devteam should be able to conjure up the demon magic to fix any glitches in the upcoming weeks.

Waffles? Now I'm hungry. I bet I don't have any waffles either.

It's about time! I never understood why there was a mention of a password at the bottom of those confirmation emails.
Speaking of the star ratings? How the hell do you get those? Evidently I've never written anything worthwhile here.

Unfortunately, it appears that the Stars system has been wiped out due to the new comments. Hopefully, that's not the case.

yea i never understood the old thing where it said you could avoid all the hastle by using your email and pw. i ended up putting the pw in random places to see if it would work, yet i never did...

it'd be nice if there was 1 common site to logon to (like typekey) instead if having to put my password (that I cant change) in every blog I visit.

txa1265 @ Jan 26th 2007 2:32PM
This is really an excellent change - I would occasionally make a comment and never get a confirmation email, or get it hours later. Other times it would be instant. I am glad to log on and have my identity known - I stand behind my thoughts and theses ...
Hector Martinez @ Jan 26th 2007 5:30PM
I'm still getting screens that say confirmation email sent. Although the site is remembering my email and password. Where's the field for website?
Rij @ Jan 27th 2007 10:01PM
