New firmware coming in less than a week
Apparently, the PSone download title, R-TYPES, has some issues, freezing on the PSP. Sony's official Japanese website acknowledges this issue and Sony plans on releasing a new firmware to fix this issue. While this won't affect Americans at all, Sony will most likely release a new firmware worldwide. This isn't the first time Sony has released an upgrade for game-specific problems. In fact, 3.01 and 3.02 were both released within days of 3.00's release in order to fix issues in Japan-only games. For those of you that need to always be on the latest firmware, expect this update to hit PSPs before February 9th.

I find that quite odd my PS1 rip of R-Types (yes I own the game) works just fine on my PSP (yes it's japanese) with the 3.03 OE-C firmware.

Wake me up when the firmware update includes the ability to directly download the PS1 games to the PSP instead of having to use a PS3 to do it.

Of course R-Types works in 3.03 OE-C... It just stopped working in 3.10 :/
