Sony wants you to watch 24, Lost on your PSP

Sony Computer Entertainment of Europe is in talks with Sky, trying to get it to distribute content for PSP users. Programs that are broadcast by Sky in the UK and Ireland include 24, Lost, The Simpsons, Deadwood, and more. This partnership will be crucial for Sony's plans in educating the general public about the multimedia functionality of Sony's handheld.
The service will supposedly launch by year's end. There's no indication that Sony Computer Entertainment of America will follow suit with a similar program.

I want a TV tuner peripheral. Like the Game Gear's.
Mike @ Feb 9th 2007 7:28PM
Lol, they want people to watch Deadwood? Guess they didn't hear the show got cancelled.
bxbailey @ Feb 9th 2007 7:42PM
WTF when will they try something in the US?
NoBullet @ Feb 9th 2007 9:05PM
They're launching it with American shows? And America might not even get this service? That's greedy.

When US-in general-starts to learn that not being number one priority itself, isn't a crime! Europe gets the short end of the stick, and this is a good move - giving Europe a taste of such a feature, first!
(And please, don't bring up the thing about colour, because that's a cosmetic feature. It may help boost PSP's commercial appeal, but we're talking about console features.)
Tristan @ Feb 9th 2007 11:28PM
Whoa this could work, people could download and save their shows for cheaper than a DVD of the entire season.
NoBullet @ Feb 10th 2007 12:55AM
Oh shut up Kade Storm. I knew someone would say something like that. I'm sure if it was the other way around they'd be complaining as well. Shove it you generalizing ass.
Kade Storm @ Feb 10th 2007 1:22AM
"Shove it you generalizing ass!"
Sorry, spanky, but seems like you're the only one who's generalised thus far. And look at this thread, only you lot have been whining. I'm merely counter balancing your indignant self-righteousness.
Ironic, because I was waiting for one of you typical hicks to show up and get all "Why not for US of A?" And you've just proven my subtle generalisation, you mediocre shmuck.
Trust me, there are many moments when I keep my mouth shut about the shit-stick that Europe gets, spanky. So instead of getting in my face, try some of that 'shut up' medicine yourself, because your ignorance does not go well with your exorbitant tone.
NoBullet @ Feb 10th 2007 1:59AM
3 paragraphs? That's greedy.
Had no idea hicks were in Los Angeles. Thanks for the breaking assumption news, spanky. And schmuck, you forgot the C. Or was that part of your elaborate plan as well?
Geert @ Feb 10th 2007 9:12AM
That is great! Finally you guys in the USA know what it is like to be on the other side of the world (when it comes to features like this).
Geert @ Feb 10th 2007 9:15AM
That is great news! Cool feature.
And finally you guys in the USA know what is like to be on the other side of the world (when it comes to releasing new features like this of course).

Cool, hope it comes to north america too.

As someone who's lived in L.A. I sadly have to admit that hicks have shown up. And really, I'd rather take an authentic hick, over a deceptive, yet classless little shrewd who prances about like a city-boy. FYI: Nice! But I don't really need to use 'C', because that's just pandering to you hick-mentality, which by the way, is showing itself through your city-boy facade, yet again. Pathetic!
And yes, I do hope the Americans get this, wouldn't want them deprived. Though I'd certainly become a shameless SONY jock if they specifically black-listed NoBullet (just my fun). It would be better if a someone just showed up at his doorstep, once a month, and bitch slapped him with an iron glove.
