The Blu-ray releases looks a whole lot better than the HD DVD releases this week. How can you say HD DVD is going to win the format war if there is nothing to buy on the HD DVD side?

I'd be interested in seeing the sales for The Departed, since it's releasing in both formats this week...

Josh....One month doesn't determine a format winner. Way go with the biase mindset there buddy. Also don't spend all your money of blue-ray movies for the ps3.( since there is nothing else you can do with it) You'll need it for the games here soon though.
P.s. I'm only a person that buys a movie if i really enjoy it. Not just becuase they come out. and seriously none of these movies on the blue-ray or hd DVD (or lack there of on the hd dvd side) interest me. So in my mind its a lame week yet again. Time to go play some Gears.

only thing about comparing the sales numbers of the departed is there's really nothin else coming out for hddvd, while there's several other really good movies coming out on bluray...so blu-ray supporters have options, hddvd supporters dont

Killer:
It's not one month. It's 6 years of consoles sold always with Blu-ray. Blu-ray has won already, it's just a matter of time. And by the way, I ALSO buy movies because I like them, and I'm buying Planet of the Apes, Chain Reaction, Reign of Fire, and Ladder 49 on BD. In fact, once you watch Blu-ray movies, you can't stop. I used to buy mostly the comedy genre, since action titles didn't look great on 480i, but now I'm buying a lot of action and sci-fi since 1080p is great for those. Too bad Xbox 360 doesn't have HDMI.
Oh, by the way, Gears still has some gameplay left? I assume you keep playing multiplayer all the time, since the campaigh ends the day you start playing it. And by the way, how much time can you play that game online? The game was out almost three months ago and you can't play with 40 persons online (yet ironically, some call it Gears of Lag, despite having less players at the same time). Oh well, time to play some resistance, which has a lot more campaign left, and 40 gamers at the same time. Then I'll proceed to pay my PlayStation LIVE service... woops, it's free. I guess I'll use the extra dough for the blu-ray movies then.

And why would 360 need HDMI? You do know you can watch the movies in 1080p? & play the games aswell
Gears of lag naaaaa don,t think so ...gears multiplayer is great ....&& i really anit a person for 40 player online games takes the skill away
p.s I would love some hellraieser movies on HD/BR-DVD ^_^

Killer,
your my hero. What an awesome post. I agree, I amdone with Gears. Single Player was too short (and repetitive). And the multi-player is just 4 vs. 4. On small maps. After a while you will (or anyone with a brain) get tired of it. People dont understand what SUBSTAND and GAMEPLAY is anymore. All they think about is "AWW LOOK AT THE PRETTY GRAPHICS". A bunch of morons running around with chainsaws and shotguns, yup that about sums up microsofts target audiance.

I think it's great you guys put up Blu-ray releases! It's like ps3fanboy is my one-stop PS3 shop... keep up the good work! Oh, and make sure you keep linking updates to sites like IGN so i don't keep having to load their overly busy website everyday.

Just my opinion but the original chinese version of The Departed, Infernal Affairs was alot better. Definitely worth checking out.
