RUMOR: Bioshock -- heading to PS3? You bet.

The UK version of the Official PlayStation Magazine may have leaked a story it shouldn't have. Normally, console exclusives have been moving away from the PS3, but this time the roles appear to have reversed. A previously 360 exclusive, Bioshock, has been "confirmed" to be on its way to the PS3 -- a few months after the 360 release. We don't have a copy of the magazine itself, but if you've got a copy, feel free to back up this news or shoot it down -- help us help you!

If this is true, that's great news! Even though many will say it's "just another 360 game being ported to the PS3," not everyone has a 360 nor are they willing to get one for a single game... or two games. Microsoft was so happy to claim this was a Microsoft exclusive (360, Vista), just as Sony was so happy to claim... what... there are a few, but let's say Assassin's Creed, as a Sony exclusive. Share the weath, Sony and Microsoft, and all will be gaming goodness.

so in regards to the above post... I REALLY HOPE SO!!!

because I would love for the playstation fanbase to learn that a FPS isn't always JUST an FPS.

Who can Afford to Only Target 1/3 of the Available Customers. Not too many Businesses can afford to do that.

The Days of the Exclusive will be greatly diminished.
Outside of the Few who get the Kickbacks from Microsoft, Nintendo, or Sony.

I said it once and I'll say it again. Bioshock is a timed exclusive for M$. This title will definitely be coming to the PS3 months after the 360 release.

acutally, i only bought my 360 for halo 2 and gears of war and later halo 3. but thats just me.

and no im not a spoiled lil rich kid that gets everything that i want. i worked for it

Didn't 2k say that it was going only to games for windows and the 360? This wasn't the double talk that we heard with Assassins creed.

I'll still be getting/playing the 360 version, but it is VERY good news for those without a 360. Looks like it is going to be an amazing game.

First game from 360 ported to PS3? That's blatantly false. Enchanted Arms already got ported. Oblivion was supposedly "cancelled" for PS3 to become a 360 and PC only, and look at what happened next. Saint's Row? The same thing. Bioshock was a PS3 title also and then suddenly it got "cancelled". I'm not saying it's a certainty, but I wouldn't be impressed if it was only a timed exclusive. 99 nights will probably stay 360 exclusive since Microsoft seems to have the rights or whatever, but don't worry PS3 fans... it's like Drakengard (boring) with a little sunshine (boring sunshine). What else? Who knows.

The only reason Xbox 360 has had so many "exclusives" initially was because of their headstart, NOT because the japanese are in love with Microsoft or whatever. Condemned was cancelled for PS3 because PS3 was delayed, and it wasn't really worth the extra effort for very few sales since the market is already saturated with the game; I wouldn't be surprised if the sequel appears on PS3, if there is one... you know, just like that crappy car game. Same with Ridge Racer, the sixth iteration was simply ready way before PS3's launch. Japanese developers with soon to be ready titles couldn't miss the oportunity of porting the titles given 360's early headstart and ease of getting ports over with (Fight Night for PS3 was ported very fast to 360, which is ironic since 360 was coming earlier anyway; armored core 4 would have been exclusive if it wasn't for 360's head start; see also assassin's creed and probably GTA4). Lost Planet used to be a PS2 title, so it might end up in PS3 too (timed excl.). So was Ninja Gaiden Black, and look at Sigma now... I wouldn't be surprised if Dead Rising was a PS2 title originally, and if the sequel appears on PS3, albeit a little later.

Guess what else? All those japanese small titles for 360... you know, those with hentai, niche japanese RPGs (unlike dragon's quest and final fantasy), etcetera will probably get ported to PS3 (and Wii); who could pass that oportunity up? Or are japanese developers in love with poor japanese sales of titles oriented towards japanese audiences? If they stay like that, maybe it is because Microsoft will pay big sums... but I seriously doubt it since it isn't really worth that much for them.

I could go on and on... but yeah, PS3 will definitely get a lot of things from 360, and viceversa. Not everything (not Dead or Alive, not Final Fantasy, not Splinter Cell and not Metal Gear; blockbusters), but most of it. "3rd party exclusives are so last-gen".

If your refferring to BLue DRagon, LOst odessey those are first party so forget those as far as lOst Planet and Dead Risinggo expect the sequels to turn up on PS3 unless the much rumoured MS buyout of Capcom goes through and as far as BIoshock goes 2k is very MS friendly with FPS's with Prey being the prime example

You're wrong. Bioshock is never coming to the PS3. 2K says the mag was quoting someone from 2005 E3, since then, MS bought the exclusive rights (not just three months) to Bioshock for 360 and Vista.

So now that everyone knows YOU'RE an idiot.....suck it.

Oh yeah, and MGS4 is NOT EVER going to the 360 either.
