Namco Vs. Sega -- the future of fighting is in your hands!

Suzaki said this about the idea: "I had the opportunity to speak with the director of Virtual Fighter on many occasions in the past and actually talk of collaboration came up again recently. Being from the same industry, this is something we definitely would like to try at least once. Looking at it from another perspective, we began to realize that it would actually be more difficult to make this happen than we first thought. More than anything, we believe this decision greatly lies in our fans. So, we would actually like to ask for our fans' opinion on this."
He wants to know what we think, guys! IGN wants you to send your request for a T vs. VF to their email address and they'll forward it to Sega and Namco. I did it and you guys should too! If they did a two-man tag team style, what would your dream team be? Go, go, go! This is our chance to be heard!
[thank you very much, Joe!]

If they do a Tekken vs virtua Fighter game, that would be beyond awesome.

as far as I'm concerned, they're both awful. inuntuitive, horribly animated, stiff controls, floaty physics, and just plain bad.
Don't get me wrong, I love my fighting games, but how these guys became king of the genre... I have no idea.

Gee, aragorn, What fighters do you like? DOA, Street Fighter,Guilty Gear, KOF? I have played them all since the beginning. VF is the best, hands down. Animation is awesome, control-perfect, balance-perfect. Why do you think they have major contests on this game in Japan? The only fighter that ever approached VF is Street Fighter, but 2-D is pretty much dead. The number of moves taken from actual martial arts forms creates a fighter that is beyond all others.
That's the problem with Tekken vs. VF- for every one attack in Tekken, VF has 20.

Thats not nessecarily true Ted, if youve ever flipped through a Tekken stategy guide (as opposed to assuming that the moves listed in the in game command list are all there is) you would see that each character has a very large number of moves.
I like both for different reasons, but I Prefer tekken simply because the pacing. VF is deep but it can be a bit bland at times, with the realism getting in the way of the fun. Tekken is faster, and a little more visually entertaining without being over the top. I mean, after all it IS a video game, part of the appeal is the fact its beyond what you yourself can do.
