Personal gloating moment: after obtaining the rank of "Veteran" in
Virtua Fighter 5's Quest Mode, my thumbs are killing me. But it was worth it. Still worth it, since every character I fight now tries to demote my rank. Anyway, we got an e-mail from a fan who
bought the HORI Pro Fighting Stick in one form or another. Granted, his board and stick seem to be a lot larger than the one
offered by Amazon, but if you're really into fighting games and really against the SIXAXIS D-pad, it's probably worthwhile. I'm used to the D-pad now, especially the extra-handy shoulder buttons that help me with hitting two or three buttons at the same time. If you've got
VF5, how are you guys faring? What character have you taken under your wing?
[thanks a lot, Chairman!]

AWESOME to able to use it on VF5 and later this week Tekken:DR but can someone tell me why companies ARE STILL USING WIRED CONTROLLERS?? How about some wireless love already!!!

When it comes to joysticks, I think it's probably better to go with the higher quality one and I think in this case, the Pro 3 (Fighting?) Stick is better than the regular Fighting stick thats at Amazon, wal-mart etc.
I need to know where to buy this affordably.

This will only work w/ PS3 games? Or will it work with PS2 games.

The reason they're still using wires is because it guarantees zero lag in the response time. It would be nice if they made one for the casual gamer as well, that was wireless, but I don't think that's the market that they are targeting. I'm fairly certain that it only works with PS3 titles, but I still would love to know how I could get my hands on one of those Hori Real Arcade Pro Stick 3. They aren't even listed in Hori's product line on their site. I guess I just have to do with the Sony Playstation 3 Fighting Sticks on Amazon. :(

The HORI Real Arcade Stick 3 is hard to find, it is out of stock at both Play-Asia and NCSX. IGN reviewed this $50 HORI Fighting Stick 3, and gave it a pretty high score. Said it was metal casing, well built.
In light of the fact that I would rather have the Sega High Grade (that is now on recall) or the HORI Real Arcade Stick 3, I just ordered the cheaper $50 one because playing Virtua Fighter 5, which I just got today, sucks very much badly on the SIXAXIS. And I am not waiting for the better HORI stick to become available.

anyone who actually like fighting games, do yourself the biggest favor and pick up one of these. you instantly become 20% better at the game. everything is easier to do. it like moving from a dpad to a mouse for an FPS.
