Monster Hunter slays Japan's sales charts
We knew Monster Hunter Portable 2nd was a big seller, but now the official numbers are out. The weekly sales report from Mainichi Interactive states that Capcom has blown away sales expectations by selling 700,000 units in its first week. This easily puts Monster Hunter Portable 2nd one of the best selling PSP games yet in Japan. PSP hardware also sold quite well in the same time, coming in at number 3 in the hardware sales charts. Let's hope this news means more Capcom content on Sony's portable.

Hell yeah, this is what I'm talking about. Publishers should be focused on making games of this magnitude... point blank. The PSP needs to have more sucess. And while awesome games may be on the horizon, they need to be properly advertised!

Sony and capcom need to milk this success the same way nintendo milks the success of its franchises. When the brain age games were proving successfull, you saw tons of similar games quicky sprout on the system to take advantage of the interest. Sony needs to be just as responsive.

Please tell me you're not serious.... why so Sony and Capcom can release mind-numbing, mediocre, watered down bullshit that isn't worth anything in attempts to make another dollar and ruin their credibility? I mean did you even play any of those Brain Age rip offs... they were horrible. Please stop... just stop.
