Phil Harrison says: more Resistance in April?!
No, no, we're not going to say "A sequel to Resistance: Fall of Man is in the works and set for an April release"... although a sequel is in the works. No, we don't have a link to prove it, but it's true. It's called trust! Phil Harrison sat down with, uh, Newsweek and talked about a multitude of things -- Gears of War, being a silly-willy, being tall, the PS3 launch, etc. We're not going to talk about that. The very last point Phil brings up is the upcoming content for Resistance that is going to, as he said, "We're going to release additional content for Resistance. I don't think we've gone into detail on the schedule, but we have some really, really cool things that will be extending the story, extending the locations, some brand new content, starting in April." He goes on to allude to a sequel if this extra stuff is well-received. A collective "woo" is necessary from the R:FoM crowd, please.

I'd hope that we'd get a mini single player expansion, in addition to a few multiplayer maps, which I'm sure are in the works. Maybe one or two new weapons and game modes?
...1080i support?
Yeah, I know, that last one's not going to happen.

Aww, Meltdown is a lot of fun! That's pretty much all I play, along with CTF.

I've got to hand it to Sony for support of a game. I've never had a game on any console with as many updates, tweaks and support directly from the developer as Resistance has gotten. They ACTUALLY listen to us players. I can see this game getting to be like Half-Life with more MAPS, MORE SKINS, MORE GUNS!!WOO-HOO!!
@#1 welcome to PS3fanboy Wreckhart and dont listen to #2 poster DC those are very Noob things to do and will earn you zero respect (and much hate mail) from us in the R:FOM crowd. I'm always online with Resistance and I never get tired of it because it's a TEAM game when your up against 20(!) other players you have to coordinate as a team otherwise you get owned. Campers suck.

does resistance support headsets?
chillski @ Feb 27th 2007 6:40PM
resistance does support headsets, but even tho i play all the time ive yet to hear someone using one.
Stef Geiger @ Feb 27th 2007 6:50PM
Yeah. I picked up the Logitech PS2 headset and it works fine.
..I don't know why Insomniac didn't make that more evident. Seems like a lot of people don't know about the VOIP functionality.

@#6,terrible advice. Only n00bs camp the laark like that, don't encourage it people do it enough already. If you want to get good then learn how to use the carbide effectively.
And, while meltdown can get repetitive, it is a very team oriented game mode so it is worthwhile to give it a go and try and win while you're racking up the kills. Forged from Crimson Owns all, number 11 on the game battles Clan Ladder.

Um, yay?
It will take a lot to make that game entertaining for more than a single run through of the campaign or a disturbingly quiet session of multiplayer. Epic failed to deliver on its Gears updates; I expect similar results from Insomniac.
