All your Warhawk Rumors are belong to us

What's good? Lots of weapons, different vehicle types, and greatly improved/sensitive SIXAXIS controls. The fighting is pretty fast-paced, or as they put it, "Battlefield 1942 with the art style of Timesplitters". That's cool. IGN got to control three vehicles in the build they received: the jeep, the tank and, of course, the Warhawk. All of which have many customization options. You can probably figure out how each one handled -- the jeep is nimble but gets destroyed easily. The tank is huge and slow, but pretty tough to stop. The Warhawk is somewhere in between, with crazy sensitive controls to get used to and decent firepower. Oh, you can also swap between ground, air, and foot combat at the touch of a button. Not sure how that's really going to work in a heated battle.
What's bad? We don't know if the game's download-only, store-bought, or some combination of both. The single-player mode is gone... while sad, not altogether disappointing. It received only lukewarm reception, but there was a lot of work put into it. In a way, then, it's good they scrapped it so they can focus on what's really going to be great.

Geez... can Sony ever do anything wrong in your eyes?

I read the preview and it looks awesome!!!! And I am sure they could always add a offline single player mode via PS Store.

Of course they do. But mostly they've been doing everything well so far.

#2 Comon now, they have been getting better but they are FAR from doing everything well.

I really thought I'd read somewhere that this was going to be a PSN title. Wish I could remember where I read it.
It'll be interesting to see how this and Shadowrun (another multiplayer only game, this one on the PC/360) do. I suspect they won't do very well... I really think its a very vocal minority that actually spends most of their time playing online.

32 players?
I was expecting more, RFoM does 40, was hoping for 64+
Very large battles would really have been great.
Even at 32 if it is cheap I will pick it up. I am sure it would be fun anyway.
