WarHawk confirmed -- Blu-ray release, not download [update 1]

Officially. Should be the end all, eh? Phil Harrison did say at GDC it would be a downloadable title, but he might have gotten his wording mixed up with "online only" -- it's tough to explain, but the mismatch of interpretations makes sense. A game that will only be played online? It's natural to think that you'd get the game from the internet, then, or something. In any case, WarHawk will be on store shelves. Hopefully at a price less than other games, since it is just an online title. Please?
[update: Sorry to get your hopes up, but this update is boring. I accidentally set this to publish yesterday, so overnight it sat in yesterday's news. It's supposed to be published now. As in today. Uh, it's technical, but it needed to be explained in case anyone noticed this news moving around the main page.]

Sorry, but why is it confirmed?! Warhawk has been confirmed to be on disc, off disc, canceled, downloadable, back onto disc etc. Sorry, I am all one for the news, but make it real news please.

I will never buy a game that is online only. I guess Im the only one that hates playing nerds that spend their entire lives getting better at a game. I only get to spend an hour or so a day on a game so I cant play online. Its no fun getting my ass handed to me repeatedly.

(2) Same here but with co-op... it should be okay.

They're making it a disc product just so they can charce $60 for it instead of $20 and below.

They have been working on this game now for about 9 billion years. At some point there had to be a campaign mode. I'm assuming they just trashed this and went online only? Sounds fishy to me.

"Warhawk confirmed -- Blu-ray release, not download"
I believe your headline is a bit misleading on this story. IGN has been informed by someone at Sony that "Oficially", Warhawk is to be released late this summer as a "Blu-ray based product". And Phil Harrison is quoted on Warhawk being a downloadable title via the Playstation Store. Recently the net was full of Warhawk rumours, but if memory serves me, I do believe that Warhawk was to be online multi-player only has indeed turned out to be true. And it will be released like Shivering Isles for Oblivion, either online via XBLM, or as a retail item in a store. It seems Sony is doing what Bethesda is doing.
