Katamari rolls onto PS3

Our sister site, Joystiq, is rumor-mongering again, spreading the potential word that a new Katamari game will be hitting the next-gen consoles later this year. Dubbed Beautiful Katamari, the latest addition to the franchise will supposedly debut on October 17 for the low, low price of $39.99. Nice.
However, with Katamri creator, Keita Takahashi, stepping down from the series to pursue other gaming adventures and without Namco's confirmation, Joystiq and PS3 Fanboy recommend that you proceed with caution regarding this news. You just might want to keep this one in your hope chest a little bit longer.
But we're keeping our fingers crossed.

A physics based katamari would be cool.

Yeah, without the official people I am kinda nervous. I loved Katamari, especially the 2nd one. I hope they don't go screwing things up. Sure would be nice to see, in pretty PS3...

Cue the XBox trolls, bragging "You lost another exclusive!!!1!!!11!!one!!", not aware that it isn't exclusive to them either.

A little OT, but since they mentioned Joystiq...Is Joystiq.com not loading for anyone else? I haven't been able to load it, or some of its sister sites for a few days now.
